At the Conference, Chief of Office of the District People's Committee Vu Huu Duong said that in the first 6 months of 2025, Kien An District People's Committee has focused on directing, operating drastically, and synchronously implementing tasks according to the annual work program and the theme "Promoting urban beautification, attracting investment; enhancing green transformation, digital transformation; streamlining organization and apparatus". The district's socio -economy continues to be stable, growth indicators are quite good, budget revenue reaches 91.4% of the plan. Land, urban, environmental management, administrative reform, social security, national defense - security, public reception, and petition settlement have all received attention and achieved many positive results. The work of preparing to arrange administrative units according to the direction of the Central and the City has been seriously implemented, ready for the phase of operating the 2-level government from July 1, 2025.
In the coming time, Kien An district will focus on implementing key tasks to serve the operation of the two-level local government, including: continuing to resolutely direct socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security; strengthening inspection and handling of violations in production and business; boosting budget collection, preventing revenue loss and completing disbursement of public investment capital. The district also focuses on land management, planning, urban order; effectively implementing poverty reduction, social security, and digital transformation programs; improving the quality of administrative reform, public reception work and preparing well the conditions for arranging the organization of the two-level local government apparatus.
Speaking at the Conference, Chairwoman of the District People's Committee Bui Thi Tuyet Mai acknowledged and highly appreciated the comprehensive results achieved by the district in the first 6 months of the year; at the same time, emphasizing that from now until June 30 is the peak period, with a large amount of work, requiring departments, offices, units, wards and cadres and civil servants to make efforts, work scientifically and effectively to complete the activities of the district-level government and switch to a 2-level local government model.
The Chairman of the District People's Committee requested localities and units to urgently review and complete financial procedures, settlement, and debt settlement; speed up the progress and disbursement of public investment capital, without interruption. At the same time, inventory, arrange, and handle headquarters, equipment, and public assets, ensuring working conditions from July 1. Strengthen land and urban management, site clearance for projects, especially Ring Road 2; focus on combating counterfeit and poor-quality goods; proactively respond to natural disasters, closely follow weather developments, especially in the Thien Van mountain area. All departments, offices, and wards must concentrate and fully grasp the directives of the Central Government and the City to prepare for the operation of the new government model, including reviewing unqualified officials for timely handling./.
