Starting from a purely agricultural commune with many difficulties and many ups and downs, in the 2020-2025 term, Hiep Hoa commune has achieved many positive results in shifting the economic structure associated with building a new rural area, towards promoting the development of industrial production, small-scale industry, basic construction, trade and services. In 2024, Hiep Hoa's production value reached 676.8 billion VND, equal to 100.07% of the plan, an increase of 17.8% compared to 2023. Of which, the production value from industry, small-scale industry, basic construction reached 312.4 billion VND, accounting for 46.2% of the economic structure; the trade and service sector reached 316.4 billion VND, an impressive growth of 27.5% over the previous year, accounting for 46.7%; The agriculture, forestry and fishery sector remained stable with a value of 48 billion VND, accounting for 7.1% of the total structure.
These figures show a strong shift from agriculture to non-agriculture, creating a foundation for Hiep Hoa to gradually urbanize and be ready to enter a new development stage when it becomes one of the new administrative units under the 2-level local government model.
Along with that, the infrastructure system has been invested synchronously, people's lives have been increasingly improved. By the end of 20224, the whole commune still has 11 near-poor households according to the province's criteria, reaching a rate of 0.3%; average income per capita reaches 84 million VND/person/year; 100% of households use hygienic water; 99.3% of households use clean water; the rate of collected waste reaches 99%...
