Pho Tron was ranked 35th on the list by experts and readers of Taste Atlas . The famous website describes it as "a particularly popular pho dish during the summer in Hanoi ".
Unlike other types of pho, pho tron does not have the broth poured directly into the bowl, but instead has a distinctive rich sauce. The beef (or chicken) is sliced, marinated with salt, ginger, pepper, garlic, fish sauce and five-spice powder before being stir-fried.
Ranked 45th on the list, salad is praised by Taste Atlas not only because it is a delicious dish but also because it is a testament to the art of balancing flavors and sophistication in Vietnamese culinary culture.
Taste Atlas describes: "Nôm, also known as gỏi in some regions, is a traditional mixed dish that stands out for its freshness, variety of colors and harmonious flavors.
This dish is usually a combination of many types of fresh vegetables and fruits that are shredded or thinly sliced such as green papaya, young mango, banana flower, carrot, cabbage, cucumber, sometimes with added white radish or herbs.
These ingredients are mixed with sweet and sour fish sauce, creating the perfect balance of sour, sweet, salty and spicy flavors. In addition to vegetables, the salad also has shredded boiled chicken, shrimp, pork or dried beef to increase richness and nutritional value."
Rare beef with lemon is the last representative of Vietnam to appear on the list at number 65. This is a traditional appetizer popular in Northern Vietnam.
Fresh beef is thinly sliced and rare with lemon juice to retain its natural sweetness. The meat is then mixed with onions, herbs such as coriander, basil, and sometimes shredded carrots for added crunch.
The sweet, sour, and slightly spicy sauce from lemon, fish sauce, garlic, and chili helps the dish to be flavorful and harmonious. Sprinkled with roasted peanuts and fried onions, the lemon beef is not only delicious but also brings a cool feeling, very suitable for hot summer days.
