Stamp set "Commemorating the 1100th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang (924-979)".

Designed in graphic style, the main image on the stamp is the statue of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang in the temple of King Dinh in Truong Yen, Hoa Lu, Ninh Binh.

With strong colors, clear shapes and gilded lacquer material, the worship statue becomes majestic, sparkling on a dark brown background, bringing a deep, quiet feeling.

The stamp set was issued to pay tribute to the great contributions of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang, contributing toeducating the nation's heroic historical traditions.

Dinh Tien Hoang, whose real name was Dinh Bo Linh, was born on March 22, 924 (died in the year of the Cat, 979) in Kim Lu village, Dai Huu village, Dai Hoang district (now Van Bong village, Gia Phuong commune, Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province). He was the one who pacified the 12 warlords, unified the country, and was honored as Dai Thang Vuong.

In the year of Mau Thin 968, Dinh Bo Linh ascended the throne, becoming the first Emperor of Vietnam after the period of Chinese domination. He took the national name Dai Co Viet, moved the capital to Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh). Dai Co Viet State opened the era of independence, autonomy, and built a centralized monarchy in Vietnam. To develop the economy and facilitate trade, he minted and issued the first coin of Dai Co Viet State, the "Thai Binh Hung Bao" coin.

During the period of national restoration of Vietnam, from the Khuc family who only claimed to be the Governor, to Ngo Quyen who claimed to be King and to King Dinh who claimed to be Emperor. Several kings who claimed to be Emperors before and during the period of Chinese domination were all defeated by foreign invasion. It was not until the Dinh Dynasty that the Vietnamese rulers truly reached the pinnacle of their positions and titles, affirming the solid position of an independent and unified nation through dynasties and forcing the ceremonies and investitures of the Northern powers to recognize it as an independent country. From Dinh Bo Linh onwards, the Kings no longer claimed to be Kings or Governors, but instead claimed to be Emperors as a legitimate lineage.
