At nearly 4 p.m., a 30-seat car with a Ho Chi Minh City license plate driven by Mr. Hoang Van Phung (59 years old) from Duc Trong district (Lam Dong) went down Dai Ninh pass in Phan Son commune and plunged into a ravine at a winding curve.

The car slid down about 20 meters and hit a bamboo grove, stopping. The driver and passengers opened the doors and escaped. Some people sitting in the front were slightly injured. Local people and authorities used ropes to let the victims cling to and climb up the road.

Dai Ninh Pass is 12 km long, located on Highway 28B - an important route connecting two famous tourist destinations Da Lat - Mui Ne, with many winding, dangerous sections, often causing accidents and landslides. Last July, a car carrying 27 tourists had an accident on this pass.
