Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi celebrates with 8 awards and announces new board of directors

(NLDO) – After winning big at the national theater festival, the pressure on Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi became even heavier.

On the evening of July 9 in Ho Chi Minh City, Truong Hung Minh Art Stage held a cozy celebration party, after the resounding victory at the 5th National Professional Art Stage Festival on "Image of the People's Public Security Soldier" - 2025 in Hanoi .

The play "Emotional Reunion" not only brought home 8 major awards but also rekindled the audience's belief in the vitality of the stage.

Considered one of the most resounding plays at the Festival, "Emotional Reunion" directed by Le Quoc Nam, under the artistic direction of People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau, has affirmed the position of Truong Hung Minh Stage in the genre of plays reflecting the theme of people's police officers - a direction that is inherently challenging, but also rich in social and humanistic material.

Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi awarded the Certificate of Excellent Author of the play "Emotional Reunion" to author Hoai Huong, which he received on behalf of the author at the Award Ceremony on the evening of July 7 at Ho Guom Theater - Hanoi.

The remarkable achievement of a united team

The play won the Gold Medal for the play category, along with 2 individual Gold Medals for Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi (twin role Trung - Hieu, a double challenge requiring acting power and the ability to transform) and Artist Binh Tinh (role Thuy Duong, a character with inner depth and humane spirit).

In addition, there were 2 silver medals awarded to artists Bao Bao and Le Nam (as two neighbors), and a bronze medal to artist Thach Thao for her role as Mrs. Thao - an old mother anxiously waiting for her child to return after the incident.

Author Hoai Huong received the Outstanding Author award, while artist Le Van Dinh was honored with the Outstanding Art Design award, contributing to creating a stage space that is both realistic and rich in metaphors.

In the warm atmosphere of the party, the artists reviewed the process of rehearsing the play. The emotions after the challenging creative journey and the serious, meticulous and dedicated artistic work helped them reap success. Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi, stage director, emotionally said:

"The play is a journey of true emotions - not only of the characters but also of our collective artists. Each role is a message of sacrifice, humanity, and civic responsibility in everyday life. That is what the stage needs to preserve and spread. I thank everyone, especially People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau, who has worked so hard on this play."

Author Hoai Huong shared touchingly:

"I wrote this play with deep understanding and respect for those who are day and night keeping peace in society. But deeper, I wanted to tell a very human story - about loss, choice and return. When I saw the artists bring every detail on their pages to the stage with all their heart, I was moved and extremely grateful. The award is a joy, but what makes me happier is the emotion that the capital audience has for the play. I hope the play will be performed again in Ho Chi Minh City - that is a priceless reward."

Notably, on the celebration night, Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi announced the new board of directors of Truong Hung Minh Art Theater, marking the next stage of development of the theater, including: General Manager: Artist Hoang Meo; Deputy General Manager: Director - Artist Thach Thao; Deputy Director in charge of foreign affairs: Lam Phong; Deputy Director in charge of art: Chanh Truc.

Director Le Quoc Nam thanks the artistic advice of People's Artist Tran Ngoc Giau for helping him learn many valuable lessons during the staging of the play "Emotional Reunion".

These are experienced and dedicated artists, representing a dynamic generation, accompanying Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi to turn Truong Hung Minh stage into a serious artistic address.

According to Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi, "Emotional Reunion" will be performed again in the near future at Truong Hung Minh stage, as an artistic activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

This is not only an act of gratitude to the police force, but also an affirmation: the stage does not stand outside the flow of the country, but blends into it with emotions, listening and companionship.
