All Vietnamese people, no matter where they are or what they do, are respected and given gifts equally, which is a meaningful and humane message that the Party and the State want to convey.

After the Politburo agreed on the policy, the Prime Minister issued a telegram to give gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. Accordingly, each person will receive a gift of 100,000 VND. This is the first time, in a special historical moment, that all people have received gifts from the Party and the State.

Joining the joyful and excited atmosphere of the whole country, on the afternoon of August 31, all over Thanh Hoa, from the plains, coastal areas to the mountains, everywhere was filled with laughter. The excited atmosphere spread quickly as people received Independence Day gifts together.

At Nam Cao Street, Hac Thanh Ward, all preparations for the gift distribution were completed early in the afternoon. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Mao, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Nam Cao Street said: “Nam Cao Street has 360 households with nearly 600 people. In order to ensure that no one does not receive gifts, the Ward People's Committee coordinated with the Ward Police to review all people with social security accounts on the VNeID application to make a list. For those who do not have an account, the Ward coordinated with the residential groups to review and make a list so as not to miss any recipients. Therefore, all residents in the street received gifts on the afternoon of August 31st.”

Hac Thanh Ward has more than 197,140 people, the ward with the largest population in the province, and also one of the wards with the largest population in the country. In order for the gift giving to take place safely, promptly, publicly and transparently, the ward has established a steering committee, established 3 clusters and assigned ward leaders to be in charge of each cluster to direct the implementation.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhuan, who is nearly 80 years old this year, living alone in a small house near the end of the village, also happily joined everyone at the cultural house very early. Holding the gift money in her hand, Ms. Nhuan shared: “I am very touched and feel warm when receiving a gift from the State. The gift is small, but it holds great meaning for people like me”.

Hoang Loc Commune has 34 villages with a population of over 36,200 people. In order to ensure that the gift-giving process is carried out properly, the People's Committee of Hoang Loc Commune has reviewed and made a list of each household, and established 10 working groups to carry out the payment of Independence Day gifts at 10 locations.

Mr. Chu Huu Khuyen, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Loc Commune, shared: "We identify this as an important political task that needs to be carried out publicly and transparently, so that joy can reach all people. Although it is a holiday, all working groups are present to help people receive gifts as soon as possible. Due to the large area and large population, the urgent implementation process will inevitably encounter problems, so we hope that people will share and support the task force, helping the payment work to be implemented correctly, fully, promptly and minimizing errors."

The joy and excitement were evident on every face, creating a bustling, warm atmosphere on Independence Day. Holding the gift she had just received, Ms. Pham Thi Bat (Tuong Yen village) emotionally shared: “Small gifts, divided equally among the people on this important historical day, are great spiritual gifts, demonstrating the care of the Party and State for the people. The most valuable thing here is the “way of giving”: Equality and non-discrimination. Therefore, I believe that this gift will continue to spread strongly, inspiring people to continue to unite and work together to build a rich, beautiful, civilized homeland and country”.

Implementing the Party and State's policy of giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Cam Van commune mobilized all its forces to organize the giving of gifts to people, making this year's Independence Day more complete and warmer.

“According to the review, the entire Cam Van commune has 22,753 people (people with personal identification codes) receiving gifts. To ensure that the gifts reach the people quickly, the commune has mobilized all its forces to work throughout the holiday. With the dedication and responsibility of the Steering Committees and gift-giving teams, the gift-giving to people in 21 villages took place quickly and was completed this afternoon,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Hiep, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cam Van commune.

On the afternoon of the last day of August, people of Dinh Hoa commune gathered at the village cultural houses to receive gifts from the State on the occasion of the national holiday. The preparation work for paying the gift money to people at 22 village cultural houses was quite carefully prepared by the functional forces. The Party Committee, the People's Committee of the commune, departments, branches and organizations mobilized forces to work together closely to ensure the payment took place smoothly, safely, to the right subjects and in accordance with regulations. The atmosphere at the payment points was solemn, filled with joy and excitement. Many elderly people were moved when they received gifts on September 2 for the first time in their lives.

Mr. Le Van San, 92 years old, Thung Thon village, Dinh Hoa commune, was brought by his relatives to receive the gift. He confided: "I am very happy and excited that even though I am over 90 years old, I still receive the attention of the Party, the State and the local government. This is not only a material gift but also a priceless spiritual gift for us."

Ho Vuong commune distributes money to people.

This afternoon, the cultural houses of Ho Vuong commune became more bustling when people showed up in large numbers to receive gifts on September 2. According to the cultural house of village 8, although the People's Committee of the commune announced that the gift receiving schedule would start at 3:00 p.m., from early afternoon, people were already present in large numbers.

Happy and elated to receive a meaningful gift for the first time in his life, Mr. Tran Manh Hai expressed his excitement. Due to his old age, Mr. Hai did not have a VNeID account, so he represented his family to receive 800,000 VND in cash for 8 people. The amount of money was truly a great spiritual encouragement, allowing his family to join in the joy of the country. During the days when the Party and State solemnly celebrated the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country, the timely gift gave him and the people of Ho Vuong more conditions to share in the joy of the nation, so that everyone felt happier when living in a peaceful , independent country, where the people are warm and happy.

Through screening, Ho Vuong commune has 26,924 people eligible for Doc Dap Tet gifts. Accordingly, the commune has established 10 teams, including cadres, civil servants, public employees, and local police, to go to 28 villages in the commune to organize the distribution to the people.

“With a spirit of urgency, responsibility and safety, Ho Vuong commune will increase the number of on-duty forces, support and distribute to the people, ensuring that on September 1st all local people receive gifts from the State,” said Mr. Hoa Ngoc Cuong, Chairman of Ho Vuong Commune People's Committee.

Implementing Decision No. 2940 of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on approving the targeted supplement of the budget for giving gifts to people in the province on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, on August 31 and September 1, 166 communes and wards in Thanh Hoa province organized gift giving to people.

To ensure that no one does not receive gifts, the Provincial Police have provided a list of residents in the National Population Database until August 30, 2025 to each commune and ward as a basis for making a list of gift recipients; at the same time, closely coordinated with the People's Committees at the commune level to carry out gift giving to the right recipients, promptly, and without loss.

Commune and ward police and related units focus on directing and fully preparing human resources and facilities to organize payment and gift giving to people in accordance with the actual situation in the locality (through social security accounts or directly in cash). In case of objective reasons, gift giving will be ended no later than September 15, 2025 according to the guidance of the Ministry of Finance.

The total estimated budget of over 10 trillion VND to distribute gifts to all people is clearly a large number in the context of limited national resources and we are in dire need of budget to carry out other tasks. However, with the position and strength of the country today, with what the entire Vietnamese people have strived for over the past 80 years, this is the time to converge all the most favorable things for the Party and State to carry out this gift giving.

The gift is not only of material value, but also shows the deep concern of the Party and State, conveying warm feelings and sharing to each family and each person, creating a vivid, colorful picture of solidarity, faith and aspiration for peace and prosperity.
