At around 7:50 a.m., the first bus carrying officials from Binh Duong arrived at Saigon Bus Station (23-9 Park, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). After that, 5 buses from Binh Duong also arrived at this bus station, but all were empty, because no officials had gone to Ho Chi Minh City to work by this means of transport on the first day of operation.

Driver Nguyen Van Nhan, who drove the shuttle from Binh Duong, said that 5 cars (2 45-seat cars, 3 16-seat cars) were waiting at the Binh Duong Provincial Administrative Center to pick up officials to work in Ho Chi Minh City. At the departure time (nearly 6:00 a.m.), 2 45-seat cars left the Binh Duong Provincial Administrative Center but no officials got on the car. The pick-up route from the Binh Duong Provincial Administrative Center then moved to pick-up points such as Binh Duong Provincial General Hospital - Becamex Tower Building - Lotte mart Binh Duong - Ho Chi Minh City.
“According to the pick-up schedule on the first day, no officials from Binh Duong were seen taking the shuttle bus,” said driver Nguyen Van Nhan. A bus assistant on the shuttle bus said that when the bus stopped at the pick-up points, the staff took photos and sent them to the manager to report the trip and check in. After about 5 minutes without anyone getting on the bus, the bus continued its journey back to Ho Chi Minh City.
Similarly, at more than 8 o'clock on the same day, 5 buses transporting officials from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Saigon bus station arrived but there were no officials on board. Driver Nguyen Cong Phuoc, in charge of the convoy transporting officials from Ba Ria - Vung Tau to Ho Chi Minh City for work, said that the bus departed at 5:40 a.m. and arrived in the center of Ho Chi Minh City in about 2 hours and 20 minutes, the route was relatively clear, without any traffic jams.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center, initially, the center will arrange 6 trips per day: 3 trips to pick up - 3 trips to pick up and return, divided into 2 different time frames to serve the travel needs of officials, civil servants, and public employees from Binh Duong Administrative Center, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Administrative Center to Ho Chi Minh City Administrative Center. The total number of trips from these points is 12 trips to and from. After the travel demand is stable, the center will increase trips to better serve the travel needs of officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers.
This organization plan aims to provide free transportation for civil servants and public employees working at Party, State, Fatherland Front agencies, and public service units. Civil servants use their civil servant and public employee cards to use the service when boarding the vehicle. The vehicles used for transportation include 4 45-seat vehicles and 6 16-seat vehicles. Wifi is installed on the vehicles. The vehicles will display the information board "Transportation of civil servants and public employees" on the windshield for easy identification.
* On July 1, Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Station Chief of Dong Ha Railway Transport Station, said that the DH2 train serving the travel needs of passengers after the merger between Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces into Quang Tri province (new) had to be temporarily suspended due to too few registered passengers. Previously, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province (old) coordinated with Vietnam Railways Corporation to open the DH1 and DH2 trains from Dong Ha station to Dong Hoi station and vice versa to facilitate passengers, especially officials and civil servants going to work after the merger of the provinces. However, by the evening of June 30, the DH2 train (7 carriages, capacity of 450 passengers) arriving at Dong Ha station had only 2 passengers booking tickets.
