Exciting technology classes for students

Students of 8-bit Technology Innovation Center participated in the first Thanh Hoa Province Robotics Innovation Competition.

This summer, the 8-bit Technology Innovation Center in Hac Thanh Ward opens courses on lego and robotics, information technology programming, artificial intelligence (AI), graphic design, computer mastery... These are basic courses that are receiving the attention and choice of many parents and students.

By participating in these courses, students will experience and become familiar with mechanics and programming through smart lego blocks, stimulating logical thinking, exploring the power of technology or creating their own world with images, colors and layouts. In particular, students will learn through 100% practice - each lesson is a unique project, young people will be able to create their own products. Through the process of learning, practicing, being guided in using AI... children are gradually becoming technology creators - gradually forming digital skills naturally and effectively, knowing how to create content, collaborate online, protect themselves in cyberspace, use technology to solve problems...

Nguyen Quang Minh, class 7B, Tran Mai Ninh Secondary School (Hac Thanh Ward) said: “I am taking a 3D programming course at the 8-Bit Technology Innovation Center. The teachers guide me to develop my creativity and logical thinking, turning ideas into projects and practical products that can be applied in life. I feel that this is a very interesting subject and plan to study hard to later take the entrance exam to the specialized IT class at Lam Son High School for the Gifted, continuing to pursue my passion.”

Not only do students have access to technology from basic to advanced, they also participate in useful and meaningful playgrounds such as the TECH PLAYGROUND workshop, the first Thanh Hoa Province Robotics Innovation Competition... At the Thanh Hoa Province Robotics Innovation Competition, students of the 8-bit Technology Innovation Center won 1 gold medal, 7 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals.

Director of 8-bit Technology Innovation Center Le Minh Duc said: "Currently, the center uses many visual programming tools suitable for each age group, and at the same time designs lessons suitable for children from 5 to 18 years old. In addition, the center is also applying basic AI tools such as Canva to help young people maximize their creativity, thereby gradually forming digital thinking for them."

With the goal of helping students approach technology in a oriented way, many schools andeducational centers in Thanh Hoa have implemented basic programming classes, robotics, and digital skills training for students right from primary school. From simple operations, children learn how to control characters, solve thinking problems, and even create their own small games. And the special thing about these classes is that they use the method of "learning while playing - playing while learning", children can both learn theory and practice right away, so it is easy to understand and remember.

Although it is summer vacation time, the AI & Robotics Team of FPT Thanh Hoa Primary, Secondary and High School is still diligently researching, developing robots, urgently completing and practicing to be ready to enter the Regional Robotics Round of the FPTU AI & ROBOTICS CHALLENGE 2025 in early August 2025. This is a competition organized by FPT University, a creative playground, providing opportunities to practice and develop AI and robotics solutions for high school students. This is also a place to connect young people who are passionate about technology, AI and robotics from all over the country to exchange and learn.

Mr. Khuong The, teacher at FPT Thanh Hoa Primary, Secondary and High School, said: “In the digital age, students are future digital citizens. Learning about programming and robotics early helps them gain skills in systematic thinking, logical thinking, teamwork skills, and developing creativity... These are all core skills in the digital age.”

Digital technology, AI and robotics... are irreversible trends in the digital age. However, choosing the right curriculum and reputable training facility requires parents to research carefully and not put too much expectation on students, so that they are not pressured and have interesting experiences this summer.
