Cat Lai Interchange on Hanoi - Vo Nguyen Giap Highway, a vital traffic route through Thu Duc City, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Southeast provinces. 
50 years after the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Ho Chi Minh City is striving to develop into a leading urban and financial center in Southeast Asia. 
The modern downtown area of Ho Chi Minh City develops along the Saigon River. 
Thu Thiem Tunnel across the Saigon River is the most modern river tunnel in Southeast Asia, opened to traffic in 2011, connecting Vo Van Kiet Street (District 1) to Mai Chi Tho Street (Thu Duc City).

Bitexco Financial Tower, also known as Bitexco Finance Tower, is one of the symbols of Ho Chi Minh City, 262m high, inaugurated in 2010, becoming the tallest tower in the city until Landmark 81 was inaugurated in 2018.
Ba Son Bridge connects Ton Duc Thang Street (District 1) to Thu Thiem Urban Area. This project is designed with a cable-stayed bridge with the main tower considered as a symbolic welcome gate from the city center through Thu Thiem Urban Area. 
Ba Son Bridge has become a project that contributes to changing the urban appearance of modern Ho Chi Minh City. 
Landmark 81 is the tallest building in Vietnam, the second tallest in Southeast Asia, considered a new symbol of the city, next to the Saigon River, right at the Northeast gateway - an important traffic junction connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Southeast provinces.
