On the evening of August 24, in Hanoi, the Editorial Board of the Communist Magazine, the Ministry of Public Security chaired and coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Hanoi Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee to organize the "Independence Star" art and political program in 2025 (year 10) with the theme: "For a prosperous Vietnam."
This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).
Attending the program were Politburo members: Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh ; Minister of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang.
Party Central Committee members: Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh; Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine Hoang Trung Dung; leaders and former leaders of central departments, ministries and branches, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio- political organizations; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces... also attended the program.
The August Revolution of 1945 is a great epic, the most brilliant milestone in the history of the nation in the 20th century, and also the day the Vietnam People's Public Security was born. 80 springs of steadfastly following the path of socialism, the People's Public Security force has always accompanied the country, is the core force on the front line of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, contributing to maintaining political stability, protecting a peaceful and happy life for the people, creating a solid foundation for socio-economic development.
Over the years, “Independence Star” has become an annual program (starting in 2016), awaited by many veteran revolutionaries, intellectuals, party members and the masses during the autumn days of August.
The program aims to honor the noble cultural and historical values of the nation; the patriotism and indomitable will of generations of heroic Vietnamese people who sacrificed and devoted themselves to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam; and at the same time emphasize the great achievements over the past eight decades, especially in nearly 40 years of the country's Renovation.
Through that, it demonstrates the determination of the entire Party, army and people to bring the country into a new era - the era of national growth, realizing the aspirations of building a socialist Vietnam, a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
The program's content revolves around the theme of praising the glorious Party, great Uncle Ho, heroic revolutionary history, the country's Innovation and Integration cause, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, while encouraging and motivating all classes of people to actively study, compete in labor production, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals and tasks in 2025.
In addition to the traditional duration and approach, the program has innovated in content and artistic expression, helping the public, especially young audiences, understand and be more proud of the heroic Vietnamese nation, the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, the great President Ho Chi Minh, and the People's Public Security force "forgetting themselves for the country, serving the people", inspiring young people - the core and important force for the goal of a strong and prosperous Vietnam in the new era.
The program is structured with 3 chapters, 15 performances with many art genres: Singing-dancing-music-commentary, combining sound, light, images with Hologram technology, laser, 3D led... both historical, traditional, folk combined with the creative colors of contemporary art technology.
Chapter 1 “Under the majestic flag of the flying yellow star” (Aspiration for Independence - Freedom); Chapter 2 “Journey to build peace” (Innovation and action, building a happy nation); Chapter 3 “Aspiration for a prosperous Vietnam” (Continuing tradition, creating the future, building a rich, prosperous, and powerful nation).
The art program brought to the audience nationwide heroic and touching moments, with pride, gratitude, faith and aspiration to rise up strongly and join hands to build the country. That aspiration has been fueling the traditional fire so that today's generations continue to overcome difficulties and challenges, unite, build and protect the country to become increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized and happy.
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee presented meaningful gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, wounded and sick soldiers, and people with revolutionary contributions./.
