According to CyberNews , the US and its allies are actively searching for the leader of the notorious LockBit ransomware gang, with law enforcement offering a $10 million reward for information leading to his successful arrest.
An international task force including the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the UK National Crime Agency (NCA) is hunting Dmitry Khoroshev, the suspected leader of LockBit and possibly hiding in Kaliningrad, Russia.

The NCA alleges that Khoroshev is 'LockBitSupp', one of the leaders of LockBit, which is believed to have made more than $1bn from its illegal activities over the past five years, including blackmailing victims, selling stolen data and renting out ransomware to other criminal groups.
Khoroshev is wanted in the US on 26 counts of 'computer fraud and abuse', which is believed to have netted him more than $100 million. He now faces sanctions from the US, UK and Australia, including asset freezes and a no-fly list.
LockBit has been responsible for numerous major cyberattacks targeting businesses and organizations around the world , including more than 1,700 in the United States. The group's most notable victims include Boeing, ION Financial Services, and the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
U.S. and British officials said the campaign against LockBit had succeeded in disrupting the group's operations and reducing its ability to carry out attacks. But they warned that LockBit remains a significant threat to cybersecurity globally, especially to businesses.
