On this occasion, the Brigade launched a peak emulation campaign "Lightning Speed ​​- Determined Victory" to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification, the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Navy with practical emulation contents and targets. The peak emulation campaign takes place from March 1 to May 19, 2025.

After the training launch ceremony, the delegates also participated in a gymnastic performance, visited the display of models, teaching aids, and training initiatives; the CEMA-450 canoe rowing competition, and the Brigade's CISM race.

On the same day, Brigade 172, Naval Region 3 organized the marking of entries for the contest to learn about the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The contest was organized to propagate to cadres, soldiers and people the significance, greatness and historical value of the Great Victory of Spring 1975 in the history of the struggle to build and defend the country. Thereby contributing to educating, motivating, strengthening the belief, arousing the pride and responsibility of cadres, soldiers and people towards the task of building and firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland in the new situation.

After the launching period, the Political Department, Brigade 172 received more than 200 entries from officers and soldiers of agencies and units under the Brigade and organizations and individuals of twinned units (Binh Dinh Provincial Youth Union, An Hai Bac Ward Youth Union, Hoang Hoa Tham High School Youth Union and Phan Boi Chau Secondary School Youth Union).

According to the Jury, this year's entries were presented elaborately and creatively, with careful investment in content, layout and images collected with many valuable historical documents.
