Fireworks season with many new features
DIFF 2025 is the longest and largest fireworks season in the history of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, with 6 performance nights and the participation of 10 fireworks teams from 9 countries on three different continents.
Notably, this is the first time the festival has the participation of two Vietnamese teams, including Da Nang and 21 Chemical Company Limited.
The remaining eight teams, in addition to familiar names such as Finland, Poland, China, Canada, Italy, England, have two more teams, Korea and Portugal, participating in DIFF for the first time.
DIFF 2025 has 6 official competition nights, each night has a different unique theme:
Night 1 (May 31): "Cultural Essence" - Vietnam 1 (Da Nang) and Finland.
Night 2 (June 7): "Creative Art" - Vietnam 2 (Z121) and Poland.
Night 3 (June 14): “Connecting Journey” - Canada and China.
Night 4 (June 21): “Sustainable Development” - Portugal and UK.
Night 5 (June 28): "Technology leads the way" - Korea and Italy.
Final night (July 12): "Welcoming the new era" - Vietnam and China.
“No other country has 10 fireworks teams competing like this. I believe it is absolutely possible to propose to put DIFF 2025 into the Guinness Book of Records,” said Ms. Nadia Shakira Wong, CEO of Global 2000, the world’s leading fireworks consultancy.
The high value of the prizes, the prestigious brand and the increasingly improved quality have made DIFF a "high-class playground" for international fireworks artists. At the same time, the event also contributes to attracting the attention of the global media, helping Da Nang become a bright spot on the world event map.

This year, DIFF not only has impressive fireworks displays but also brings visitors top-notch experiences with a combination of art, music and technological innovation.
Each competition night is a vibrant live concert with the participation of famous domestic and international artists and music idols, combining fireworks, music and modern technology to bring visitors experiences beyond expectations.
In particular, AR technology is integrated into the Sun Paradise Land (SPL) application, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a world of unlimited imagination and creativity with the Da Nang fireworks sky, creating a strong spread.
The program stage is designed to be open, twice as wide as in 2024, and has become one of the most magnificent stages in the 17-year history of the Da Nang Fireworks Festival.
Mr. Huynh Nam Thang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Sun Group Central Region, said that DIFF 2025 with the theme "Da Nang - New Era", the main stage is designed as a symbol affirming that spirit.
The stage was inspired by the natural beauty of Da Nang, recreating the majestic image of Ngu Hanh Son by the ocean, with the highlight being the shining pearl in the center, symbolizing the strong aspiration to rise up and constantly innovate of the city by the Han River. The image of mountains and rivers also represents the spirit of harmony and solidarity, true to the message of a "new era" that DIFF 2025 wishes to convey to the people and visitors.
Special attraction for people and tourists
Every night, the 10,000-seat grandstand is packed, and every street along the Han River is always crowded on fireworks nights.
Ms. Ngo Yen (Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang City) said that she never missed a night with fireworks. On the final night, not only was the fireworks display by the two teams a feast for the eyes, but guests also enjoyed spectacular performances by many top singers such as Tung Duong, My Tam, Huong Tram, along with hundreds of artists and dancers from famous dance troupes. She was impressed with the floating stage and the elaborate sound and lighting that made the stands explode with excitement.
Mr. Hoang Thien Phuoc (from Hue city) expressed: "Impressed and proud that after 17 years of organizing, the host team Vietnam entered the finals for the first time and won the runner-up title, so we were very excited to wait. Finally, we were satisfied and overwhelmed with emotion when the performance raised the sound of "Aspiration for Peace" amidst the fireworks that simultaneously filled the sky. The performance was pushed to its climax when the heroic song "Vietnam's Spirit" resounded, followed by a performance of red and yellow like the national flag fluttering in the night sky".
Mr. John Tim (a tourist from Canada) shared that this was his second time coming to Da Nang, and this time it was very exciting because it was during the fireworks festival. “The first time I watched the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition was also the first time I saw the Han River shining brightly. Da Nang city is modern, civilized, and the people are friendly and hospitable. This was probably my wonderful vacation and I will definitely come back and tell my friends about this city,” Mr. John Tim excitedly said.
Mr. Marcos A. Bednarski, Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to Vietnam, commented: “International events such as DIFF help promote the image of Da Nang and Vietnam to the world. In my opinion, Da Nang is one of the leading localities in organizing unique cultural festivals.”
Mr. Sandeep Arya, Ambassador of India to Vietnam, said: “I believe DIFF is becoming a big attraction for international tourists, including Indians. I attended the fireworks festival last year and felt the development in both quality and scale of the event.
Jiangxi Yangfeng Team (China) crowned DIFF 2025
After an exciting competition in the final night, Jiangxi Yangfeng team (China) won the DIFF 2025 championship with a prize of 20,000 USD, while Z121 Vina Pyrotech team (Vietnam) won the runner-up prize of 10,000 USD.
Mr. Liang Weiming, Captain of the Chinese team, emotionally shared: “This is a great result. We feel extremely proud that after many days of hard work and effort, we have achieved the expected results. This award is of special significance and is a great source of motivation for us to continue our efforts in the next DIFF seasons as well as in our journey of pursuing and creating fireworks art.”
According to musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association and member of the jury, representing Vietnam for the first time in the finals was something that moved everyone. Even though it was the first time, the home team performed no less than the fireworks powerhouse.
In addition to the two main awards, the Organizing Committee also awarded three secondary awards, including the “Creativity” award to the Macedos Pirotecnia team from Portugal. The Da Nang Fireworks Team received the “Audience Favorite” award and the Martarello Group SLR Fireworks Team representing Italy received the “Promising” award. Each award is worth 5,000 USD.
Quickly return the environment to a clean state after the fireworks finale
On July 13, Da Nang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company said that the final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 generated a huge amount of waste on the streets, sidewalks, bridges, stands, etc.
The company mobilized 200 workers and 5 garbage trucks to coordinate with volunteers, students, police, border guards... to participate in cleaning and collecting garbage, quickly returning the streets, sidewalks, bridges... clean at 1:30 a.m. on July 13.
The total amount of garbage collected and transported to 2 garbage transfer stations on Le Thanh Nghi Street and Son Tra area was 43.63 tons. Previously, the company mobilized water trucks to clean the streets, supply water and arrange workers to maintain hygiene at 66 mobile toilets. At the same time, more than 200 large-capacity containers were arranged to store garbage and placed in convenient locations...
