Accordingly, two intangible cultural heritages of Lao Cai province have just been listed in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List: New Rice Festival of the Xa Pho people (in some communes of Van Ban district in the past) and Folk knowledge of processing grilled fish, blue gourd duck and leaf-fermented wine of the Tay people in Nghia Do commune.

Previously, in April 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also listed two cultural heritages: the forest worship ritual of the Pa Di people (Muong Khuong) and the weaving craft of the Tay people (Nghia Do) in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Thus, up to this point, the whole Lao Cai province (new) has 56 intangible cultural heritages listed in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List, 3 representative intangible cultural heritages of humanity; the province is the leading province in the country in terms of the number of intangible cultural heritages.
Heritages are not only rich in types but also unique in cultural, scientific and historical values, becoming valuable resources for tourism development and fostering cultural development in the integration period.
