In the era of strong technological development, digital transformation is no longer a trend but has become an urgent requirement of modern society. Responding to the "Digital Education for All" movement launched by the Central Youth Union, Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union has widely implemented many practical activities to raise awareness and digital skills for union members, youth and people in the province.
In the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union launched the program "30 peak days to implement the Digital Literacy Movement" in Hung Yen province in 2025, starting from July 7 to August 7, 2025.
Comrade Thieu Minh Quynh, Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union, said: “The movement “Digital literacy for all” is a creative way to help people not only know but also proactively use technology in their lives. With the motto “Understanding the area – Solid technology – Dedicated support”, Hung Yen youth are determined to spread the spirit of digital transformation to every household.”
To date, 100% of villages and residential areas in the province have established youth teams to spearhead digital transformation, with a total of more than 20,000 youth union members participating. This force is the core force supporting local authorities, accompanying and supporting people in accessing and effectively using digital platforms.
In localities in the province, union members and youth actively propagate and guide people to install and use useful applications such as VNeID, electronic health books, online public services, e-commerce, etc. At the same time, support information exploitation, profile lookup, safe use of social networks, and prevention of online fraud.
Ms. Bui Thi Hoa, Secretary of the Youth Union of Binh Dinh commune, shared: We established 5 youth teams to pioneer digital transformation, each team has 7 youth union members, taking turns going to the commune's Public Administration Service Center to support people in performing online public services. The team members even go to each household, especially the elderly or those with limited access to technology, to provide dedicated guidance.
Mr. Hoang Minh Hien, Secretary of the Youth Union of Tran Phu village, Binh Dinh commune, expressed: Many people who learned about the form of submitting documents by phone for the first time were very surprised and moved, expressing their sincere thanks, giving us more motivation to continue accompanying people on the journey of digital transformation.
In Van Giang commune, digital support activities take place regularly every day. Mr. Ngo Quang Huy, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Secretary of the commune Youth Union said: During the 1 month from July 7, every day we assign 5-7 members to be on duty at the one-stop shop to support people. In addition, the commune Youth Union will organize a digital skills training course for members this July, to improve their skills and spread the movement further.
In fact, many elderly people with limited access to technology have gradually become familiar with digital operations thanks to the enthusiastic support of youth union members. Ms. Le Thi Huong, a resident of Van Giang commune, shared: I went to the commune People's Committee to do paperwork and was enthusiastically guided by the youth union members from how to log in to the Public Service Portal to submitting documents online. Not only that, they also advised me on how to use social networks safely and avoid online scams. I feel very secure and learned many new things.
"Digital Literacy for All" is a program to popularize digital knowledge and skills for all classes of people, especially rural youth, workers, manual laborers, the elderly, and ethnic minorities, helping them access, use, and apply digital technology in their lives, work, and production and business, contributing to achieving the dual goal of developing a digital government, digital economy , and digital society, while forming Vietnamese digital technology enterprises. In November 2024, General Secretary To Lam emphasized the implementation of the "Digital Literacy for All" movement to eliminate digital illiteracy, ensuring that no one is left behind in the national digital transformation process.
Hung Yen Provincial Youth Union Secretary Thieu Minh Quynh emphasized: With a vibrant atmosphere and high determination, the "Digital Education for All" movement is gradually changing people's awareness and habits of using technology. In the coming time, the Provincial Youth Union will continue to maintain training courses, expand the scope of support, especially focusing on disadvantaged groups, contributing to promoting the comprehensive, synchronous and extensive digital transformation process in the province.
