About 30,000 people attended the National Day celebration, parade and march on September 2.

On July 2, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh signed and issued Plan No. 173/KH-UBND on organizing the ceremony, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The plan clearly states the purpose of organizing the Anniversary Ceremony, parade, and march to affirm the position, great stature, and great historical value of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in the history of the nation's struggle to build and defend the country under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam .

Thereby consolidating and fostering the trust of the entire Party and people in the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam; believing in the Party's vision when making landmark decisions to bring the country into a new era.

In particular,educating revolutionary ideals, patriotic traditions, pride, self-respect, and the spirit of great national unity; inculcating the morality of “When drinking water, remember its source”; expressing deep gratitude to the generations who sacrificed their blood for the independence, freedom, and unification of the Fatherland. At the same time, arousing revolutionary heroism; the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant, and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.

Through the event, the strength of the great national unity bloc and the spirit of international solidarity, the determination of the entire Party, people and army to successfully carry out the national renewal process initiated and led by the Party and firmly protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, was affirmed.

The plan requires the organization of the Anniversary Ceremony, parade, and march to ensure the scale, scope, value, and significance of the event; solemn, economical, practical, effective, absolutely safe, associated with propaganda activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the organization of Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; creating an atmosphere of excitement, enthusiasm, and competition among cadres, party members, and people.

Time: 6:30 a.m. on September 2, 2025. Location: Ba Dinh Square and some central streets of Hanoi (According to the Project on organizing military parades and marches during the Anniversary, military parades and marches of the Ministry of National Defense).

The Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the 3 years 2023-2025 will direct the implementation of the ceremony. The host unit is Hanoi city; the coordinating units are the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant agencies and units. The proposed participants are expected to be about 30,000 people (not including the parade and marching forces).

The plan also clearly assigns relevant agencies and units to carry out assigned tasks as well as the schedule for preliminary review and final rehearsal... In particular, Hanoi city press agencies proactively promote the contents and activities of the Ceremony, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the columns, commemorative banners, and social networking platforms of the press agencies.
