Hanoi tightens management of riverside wharves
Recently, some dike sections at Hanoi's river banks have been degraded and damaged due to overloaded operations of construction material transfer stations and wharves.
The city currently has 194 riverside material gathering and transit points. Of these, 108 are in operation and 86 are temporarily suspended; many are still operating even during the rainy season. Most of these yards have not completed the dike licensing procedures.
