First training session
To carry out the A80 mission, the Army has 11 standing blocks and 27 walking blocks, with a total of 7,413 officers and soldiers. Each walking block consists of 16 vertical rows, 10 rows with 160 officers and soldiers and a reserve row of 16 people.
Previously, in early June 2025, thousands of officers and soldiers traveled by train from Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Nam to Hanoi station, starting to participate in the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
In this concentrated training, the Army has 3 clusters: Cluster 1 (area 1-KV1) at National Military Training Center 4 has 1,296 female officers and soldiers, including the following groups: female military musicians, female peacekeepers, female information soldiers, female medical officers, female commandos, female militia of Vietnamese ethnic groups, and female southern guerrillas.
Area 2 and Area 3 are male blocks. At Hanoi National University (Area 2), there are 2,917 officers and soldiers, including the following blocks: Party Flag - National Flag, Honor Block of 3 Military Services, Army Officers, Logistics - Engineering - Defense Industry Officers, Military School Students, Artillery Soldiers, Armored Soldiers, Engineer Soldiers, Red Flag.
Area 3 at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Village has 3,200 officers and soldiers, including the following groups: Navy officers, Air Defense - Air Force officers, Border Guard officers, Coast Guard officers, Electronic Warfare officers, Cyber Warfare officers, Special Forces soldiers, Chemical Defense soldiers, Paratrooper Special Forces soldiers, and male Militia and Self-Defense Forces.
Officers and soldiers in both male and female groups have a good spirit of responsibility, solidarity, unity, and strive to complete the contents and programs according to the plan. Each day of practice is a step of maturity, each drop of sweat is a belief in the great festival of the nation.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Binh, Deputy Battalion Commander of the Parade Battalion of Military Region 1, said that Military Region 1 is in charge of the female medical officers. Initially, the unit has completed the task of marching 120 - 150 meters. In the next 2 months of training, the parade force will try to practice, improve their physical strength, and perfect their skills to be able to march longer, then 180 meters. Finally, they will march 250 meters.
Regarding logistics and ensuring the health of officers and soldiers, in addition to the 3 days of preliminary rehearsal, general rehearsal, parade, and official march, the food allowance is 320,000 VND/day. During training, the food allowance is 240,000 VND/person/day.
Most of the officers and soldiers participating in this training session had performed the A50 mission, participated in the parade, and marched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. 100% of the officers and soldiers participating were awarded and given 15 days of leave. After that, they received their missions. The previous training session was shorter, only 3 months, this session lasted 5 months.
Practice hard, ensure quality and progress
Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Phuoc Anh, political officer of the Southern Guerrilla Training Company of the Ho Chi Minh City Command under Military Region 7, said that the mobile company has been here since June 6. The training plan is according to the program of the Ministry of National Defense . The Southern Guerrilla Group does not march seriously, the training task is to hang up guns and march in unison, change to march in unison, salute and stop saluting. Of the total 188 participants, about 70% are university students, 66 of whom have participated in the A50 group, so they have to reserve 2 semesters.

The difficulties of the block in carrying out the mission were the effects of the hot weather, the first dishes were cooked in the Northern style like other blocks. But then they were changed to Southern dishes to suit the taste.
The three female students, Hoang Vi, Yen Nhi (both from Thu Duc) and Anh Thu (from District 7), are students from the University of Technology, University of Management and College of Economics. The second time participating in the parade, the young people still enthusiastically volunteered, reserving 2 semesters of study. Because for them, the parade only happens once every 10 years, so being able to join the formation, all 3 felt honored, proud and happy. Although the training process encountered many difficulties in terms of accommodation and living conditions; harsh climate and weather; high training intensity, each person practiced while carrying an AK gun weighing 7kg, causing pain in the shoulders, and having to tie heavy objects to their legs to practice walking properly; however, all of them clearly determined their ideology, high determination, and made efforts to practice, ensuring quality and progress according to plan. Their love for their homeland and country seemed to multiply with each step.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Vo, Head of the Teachers' Group of the Vietnam Ethnic Minority Women's Militia, said that although there were many people participating for the second time, the training was not easy, because in the A50 training, the group only had 10 vertical rows and 10 horizontal rows, but now the group has 16 vertical rows, so the formation is not easy. The forces participating in the parade are the embodiment of the strength, the spirit of determination to fight and win of the heroic Vietnam People's Army. Therefore, at this important moment, with honor, pride and high responsibility, each comrade in the formation is working very hard to practice to contribute to the overall success of the great festival of the country.
The Central Steering Committee for Celebrating Major Holidays and Important Historical Events of the Country in the Three Years of 2023 - 2025 has just issued a Decision approving the overall plan for activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Accordingly, the series of commemorative activities include: Organizing a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and commemorating heroic martyrs on Bac Son Street, Hanoi; Organizing a ceremony, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day; and a national scientific conference.
