Unexpected reward for Rach Gia Ward Police

On July 10, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward (An Giang Province) organized a ceremony to commend and reward the Rach Gia Ward Police Department for their outstanding achievements in fighting crime and ensuring security, order and social safety.

The Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward presented letters of merit, certificates of merit and rewards to the collective of the Ward Police.

Regarding the incident, Lieutenant Colonel Luu Hung Vu, Chief of Rach Gia Ward Police, said that at around 9:00 p.m. on July 5, Mr. Tran Van Dien (born in 1985), residing at L15-20, Ly Thi Hue Street, Rach Gia Ward, reported to the Ward Police that he had lost property including 300 million VND in cash and many valuable pieces of jewelry. Upon receiving the report, the Ward Police sent officers to examine the scene and carry out professional procedures.

The ward police identified the suspect NPQ (born in 1997), residing in Tan Hiep commune ( An Giang province), as a hired worker for Mr. Dien who showed many suspicious signs. Through investigation, Q. admitted to his actions and showed where he hid the stolen property.

By July 7, Rach Gia Ward Police had recovered all the property for the people, including gold and cash, worth a total of 766 million VND. The Ward Police completed the procedures and transferred the case to the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police for handling according to procedures.

The Standing Committee of the Rach Gia Ward Party Committee presented a letter of commendation and awards, recognizing the outstanding achievements of the Rach Gia Ward Police. “This is an exceptionally outstanding achievement, demonstrating the determination, high sense of responsibility and sharpness in the professional skills of the Rach Gia Ward Police force in preventing and fighting crime,” the letter of commendation stated.

Rach Gia Ward People's Committee awarded a certificate of merit to the Rach Gia Ward Police for their outstanding achievements in the fight against crime, ensuring security, order and social safety.
