Iran: Eliminates possibility of sabotaging presidential plane

Based on the results of the investigation, the possibility of a sabotage explosion was ruled out; no signs of electronic attack were found on the crashed aircraft. However, the report said that the weather conditions on the return journey to Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan province, warranted further investigation.

During the flight and 69 seconds before the accident, communication with the crew on the special frequency was maintained, indicating that there was no possibility of any interruption in the communication system or frequency interference.

On May 19, a helicopter carrying President Raisi and his entourage crashed in a mountainous area while en route to East Azerbaijan province. The first report of the investigation committee, released on May 23, said that no abnormalities were found.
