Honda Civic Type R Ultimate Edition - the end in Europe

Honda has just launched the Civic Type R Ultimate Edition sports car, limited to just 40 units, marking the discontinuation of this car line in Europe.

Honda officially introduced the Civic Type R Ultimate Edition, a limited edition of only 40 units, marking the farewell of this high-performance hatchback model in the European market in 2020.

The reason is that this model does not meet the new EU emissions standards, although it continues to be sold in other markets.

The special edition has a white design with sporty red stripes, accented with carbon fiber details such as the spoiler, taillights, door trim and center console.

Honda did not announce specific specifications for the Ultimate Edition, most likely still using a 2.0L turbocharged gasoline engine with a capacity of 315 horsepower, 420 Nm of torque, 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, maximum speed of 275 km/h.

The interior adds Type R welcome lighting, cup holders and premium footrests. Each car comes with a numbered gift box, including a carbon keyring, personalised floor mats and a car cover.

The price has not been disclosed, but in the UK, the standard Type R costs around $70,000. In Vietnam, the Civic Type R is officially distributed for nearly VND2.4 billion, using a 1.5L turbocharged engine, 170 horsepower and a 6-speed manual transmission.
