Dong Nai strives to collect 20 trillion VND from land auctions

This is not only a solution to increase budget revenue, but also an important driving force to promote the implementation of projects according to planning, contributing to sustainable socio -economic development.

More than 40 plots of land will be auctioned

Land auctions are one of the province's important sources of revenue. In 2025, the province issued an auction plan for 37 land plots. In the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center developed an auction plan for 20 land plots, of which 3 plots have made auction information public but have not had any investors participating.

Deputy Director in charge of the Provincial Land Fund Development Center Mai Phong Phu informed that in August, September and October 2025, the province plans to auction 34 land plots with a total value calculated according to the land price list of about 20.6 trillion VND. Along with that, land plots that have been auctioned but were not successful will continue to be auctioned again for the second and third times.

The Provincial Land Fund Development Center proposed to adjust the 2025 auction plan, including removing 3 land plots from the list, adding new ones and adjusting the auction time for 8 other land plots, and adding 6 more land plots in this year's auction plan of Binh Phuoc province (old).

Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Tuan Anh said that land auction is one of the top priority tasks at present. The Department has sent staff to directly participate and closely coordinate with the Provincial Land Fund Development Center in implementing legal procedures such as determining land prices or land boundaries. For procedures that have been decentralized to the People's Committees at the commune level such as: site clearance, planning, etc., the Department continues to support localities in implementation.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, it is necessary to clearly identify large-area, high-value land plots that have or have the potential to attract good investors to focus on completing procedures and organizing early auctions. At the same time, steps will still be taken for the remaining land plots to be auctioned this year.

"The procedures are within the authority and responsibility of the department and are committed to completing them on time and before the deadline," Mr. Tuan Anh affirmed.

Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Development Management (Department of Construction) Nguyen Thi Vinh An said that the department is carrying out the task of making detailed plans at 1/500 scale for land plots according to its functions and tasks. In addition, the department will actively support communes and wards with auctioned land plots in the area to complete the work of making and approving plans according to their authority.

Need 20 trillion dong

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha said that this year, the province has issued a land auction plan with a value according to the land price list of about 21 trillion VND. The Provincial Party Committee has set a requirement to collect 20 trillion VND from land auctions. However, to date, no land has been successfully auctioned.

"This is an urgent task to increase state budget revenue, accelerate disbursement of public investment capital and promote project implementation according to planning" - the leader of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized.

According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha, the problems related to land valuation have been resolved. In the coming time, the Provincial Land Fund Development Center needs to play the role of a comprehensive "commander-in-chief" for the land plots in the new auction plan. In the immediate future, priority should be given to organizing the auction of 18 "golden land" plots with clean land and legal procedures completed before August 22; daily reporting the progress of each of these plots to the provincial leaders. At the same time, urgently advise the Provincial People's Committee to adjust the 2025 auction plan to add land plots in the old Binh Phuoc province, launching a competition movement in land auction work.

The Department of Construction is assigned to send staff to support localities in establishing, appraising and approving land planning. For land planned as urban areas and residential projects, the department needs to promptly establish a planning project, submit an investment policy and commit to completing procedures within its authority to be eligible to organize an auction.

The province, together with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Construction, and the Department of Finance, will actively introduce the land to potential investors, especially those interested in the real estate market in Dong Nai.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee's agencies, Thai Bao, when working with the Provincial Party Committee's People's Committee, said that to ensure the target of double-digit growth this year and the following years, the province needs to implement many projects, especially in infrastructure. Most of the projects have plans to use budget capital, including revenue from land use rights auctions. Due to many objective and subjective factors, from 2021 to now, land auctions in the province have not been effective. Therefore, the pressure is concentrated in the last months of this year and the following years.

The Provincial Party Committee leaders requested the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to lead and direct the Provincial Land Fund Development Center and departments, branches and localities to focus highly on land auction work. The units need to coordinate closely, quickly and thoroughly resolve problems to soon put the land up for auction, striving to complete the target of collecting 20 trillion VND in 2025.
