Before Lunar New Year, rubber land recovery must be completed to implement Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway.

(DN) - Dong Nai Province Land Fund Development Center is clearing rubber land for the North-South Expressway Project, Western section, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh.

To implement the above project, it is necessary to reclaim about 58 hectares of rubber land. Of which, about 23 hectares of land is managed by Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. The Land Fund Development Center, Bu Dang branch, has conducted the inventory, prepared compensation records and sent for comments on the draft compensation and support plan.

The land area managed by Binh Phuoc Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. is about 22 hectares. The Dong Phu Branch Land Fund Development Center has conducted an inventory, prepared a compensation file and submitted it to the Dong Tam Commune People's Committee for approval of the compensation plan. The remaining land area is managed by Dong Phu Rubber Joint Stock Company. The Dong Xoai Branch Land Fund Development Center has conducted an inventory and sent a document requesting the company to provide additional documents as a basis for preparing a compensation plan.

Working with the above 3 companies on September 12, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha requested that the recovery of rubber land must be carried out quickly and simultaneously. The goal is to have 30% of the land area cleared by September 30, 70% by December 30, and 100% of the rubber land recovered before the Lunar New Year 2026.

The North-South Expressway Project, West section Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh, has a total length of over 124km (the section through Dong Nai province is over 101km and the section through Lam Dong province is about 23km). The route has a scale of 6 lanes, a width of over 32m, a design speed of 120km/h with a total investment of nearly 26 trillion VND.

On August 19, 2025, Dong Nai province held the groundbreaking ceremony for Component Project 1, with a total investment of nearly 20 trillion VND, aiming to complete and put into use in 2027.
