The contest was attended by 13 folk culture groups (VHDG) from 13 districts, cities and towns in the province. The artists of the groups competed in the following categories: Wrapping 5kg of sticky rice, 1kg of green beans, 1kg of pork into 10 square banh chung in a maximum of 8 minutes, boiling the cakes in 5 hours; cooking 5kg of sticky rice into sticky rice in a maximum of 30 minutes, pounding and forming 10 banh giay in a maximum of 15 minutes.

Thereby, contributing to preserving and promoting the unique values of the cultural heritage of the Hung King period and the Hung King worship belief in Phu Tho .

At the end of the contest, in the content of wrapping and cooking banh chung, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to the Cultural and Artistic Delegation of Viet Tri city; 3 second prizes to 3 Cultural and Artistic Delegations of Lam Thao, Cam Khe and Phu Tho town; 9 third prizes to 9 Cultural and Artistic Delegations: Thanh Son, Tan Son, Tam Nong, Thanh Thuy, Doan Hung, Ha Hoa, Phu Ninh, Thanh Ba, Yen Lap. In the content of pounding banh giay, the first prize went to the Cultural and Artistic Delegation of Yen Lap district; 3 second prizes went to 3 Cultural and Artistic Delegations: Thanh Ba, Ha Hoa, Tam Nong; 9 third prizes went to 9 Cultural and Artistic Delegations: Cam Khe, Doan Hung, Lam Thao, Phu Ninh, Tan Son, Thanh Son, Thanh Thuy, Viet Tri city and Phu Tho town.
