There was some confusion, and although some people still had to get used to the new work and learn about the new area, the new personnel had already taken on their roles, and were working urgently and truly. For tomorrow to start today. For the “sweet fruits” that we are expecting to soon become a reality, there is nothing better than now to promote the spirit of dedication.
In his speech at the ceremony to announce the resolutions and decisions of the Central and local governments on the reorganization of the apparatus and administrative units at the provincial and communal levels in Ho Chi Minh City on June 30, General Secretary To Lam called for: “Let every working day be a day of creation. Let each person be a soldier on the innovation front. Let the revolutionary spirit attack strongly, resolutely and creatively, imbuing the national spirit in every action, every decision and every step of development.”
From the city named after Uncle Ho, the revolutionary spirit of attack, the desire for innovation and reaching out that the General Secretary requested has spread and multiplied throughout the country. In new offices, in the atmosphere of the first working day, the cadres who have just been assigned new tasks have immediately gotten into the swing of things, with many immediate issues that need to be focused on and "thoroughly" resolved, in order to continue to maintain and attract investment, ensure economic growth, and effectively carry out social security work...
The new apparatus, new location, especially the new determination are eliminating the old mindset of going to the office to “check in”, and instead, every day going to the office is a journey of creation. Only the spirit of continuous creation can meet the expectations of the people and businesses in the period of integration and higher development of the country. The situation of officials “taking an umbrella in the morning and carrying it back at night”, having excess in some places, lacking in others, overlapping tasks, stepping on each other, wasting the budget, and delaying work will soon end.
We have passed a historic moment that can be called a national festival marking the transition from 3-level local government to 2-level, from 63 provinces and cities to 34 provinces and cities as affirmed by General Secretary To Lam : "Up to this point, our team is in order, the ranks are straight, the whole nation is marching together towards the bright future of the country, for the happiness of the people, for a sustainable development of Vietnam".
Reflecting on the working spirit of the staff and civil servants on the first day of operating the new apparatus in new offices, we are even more confident in a "Social system from now on will be stable/The country from now on will be renewed" as the poet Nguyen Trai once said.
I hope that the spirit of dedication and creation will last forever, so that the country can take off and reach high and far, as the message the General Secretary has conveyed.
