Frankfurt's home stadium Deutsche Bank Park with a capacity of over 51,000 spectators has never been easy for any team and Bayern Munich is no exception.
Coach Thomas Tuchel's team had an evening to forget when they lost 1-5 and could not compete for the top spot of Bayer Leverkusen after round 13 of the Bundesliga.

Just 12 minutes into the match, goalkeeper Manuel Neuer's net shook. That was the situation where midfielder Fares Chaibi shot from close range but the ball hit the crossbar. However, striker Omar Marmoush quickly kicked the rebound to open the score for the home team Frankfurt.
The early goal helped the home team play confidently and take control of the game. In the 25th minute, Bayern Munich almost equalized 1-1, when Leon Goretzka's pass to Harry Kane but the English striker's shot went just wide of the post.
In the 31st minute, midfielder Junior Dina Ebimbe confidently carried the ball into the penalty area, overcoming the defenders of the away team before finishing low past goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to help Frankfurt double the score.

The second goal made Bayern Munich lose confidence and conceded another goal just 5 minutes later. In the 36th minute, midfielder Hugo Larsson coordinated delicately with Omar Marmoush before finishing decisively to bring home the third goal for the home team.
It seemed like Bayern Munich would collapse early in the first half, but the home team at Allianz Arena unexpectedly scored a goal to reduce the score to 1-3 at the end of the first half. That was the situation where defender Joshua Kimmich shot from a distance, the ball went straight into the top corner of the goal, giving goalkeeper Kevin Trapp no chance to block.

In the second half, Bayern Munich pushed up their formation to look for another goal to shorten the score. But in a poor performance by the defense, the "Gray Tigers" continued to concede another goal.
In the 50th minute, from a quick counter-attack by the home team, midfielder Junior Dina Ebimbe received a pass from Fares Chaibi, dribbled into the penalty area and shot dangerously from close range, re-establishing a 3-goal gap with the away team.

In the 60th minute, the score was 5-1 in favor of the home team when striker Ansgar Knauff got the ball in the penalty area and finished past goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. The gap was so large that Frankfurt proactively slowed down the pace of the match in the remaining 30 minutes and preserved the final victory 5-1 against the away team.
This defeat left Bayern Munich in second place in the Bundesliga standings, three points behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen. On December 13, Bayern Munich will enter the final round of the Champions League group stage against Man Utd.
