Some people near the incident said that at around 6:30 this morning at the entrance of alley 1, Trung Kinh street, many people heard a loud noise so they quickly looked out to the street and discovered a large old tree uprooted and fell on 2 cars that were parked there.
Mr. Ta Huu Quy (a security guard) said: “At that time, I suddenly heard a loud noise so I went out of the house to see and saw a large old tree uprooted and falling onto the street. When I went out, I saw that the tree had hit two cars that were parked. Luckily, it was early morning so no one was crossing the street.”

Upon receiving the news, authorities and tree workers quickly arrived at the scene, cutting and moving fallen trees so that people could move around easily.
Previously, at around 8:00 a.m. on August 26, in front of the gate of Xanh-Pon Hospital, an ancient soapberry tree on Tran Phu Street, Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi City suddenly fell across the road, large branches hitting two cars moving through this location.

Fortunately, the incident did not cause any casualties. However, the rush hour and heavy rain caused traffic congestion on Tran Phu Street. Authorities had to close a section of Tran Phu Street to cut tree branches.
