Exhibition of national achievements: An unprecedented event, spreading the desire to rise up

The exhibition is an important event; an opportunity to look back on the arduous but also extremely glorious historical journey of the nation; affirming Vietnam's position in the international arena.

On August 28, the National Achievements Exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) with the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" opened at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, Dong Anh, Hanoi .

The exhibition is an event of great significance; an opportunity for the public to look back on the arduous but also extremely glorious historical journey of the nation; affirm Vietnam's position in the international arena; strengthen faith in the bright future of the country; create motivation and inspiration for the entire nation to enter an era of rich, civilized, powerful and prosperous development.

Panorama of the country's achievements

Presenting a general report on the exhibition, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that the main content of the exhibition is to affirm that the key factor for all successes is the wise leadership of the Party, the effective management and administration of the State, the consensus, creativity and efforts of the business community and the entire nation in the cause of national construction and development over the past 80 years.

The exhibition honors the patriotism, self-reliance and self-reliance of our nation; inspires and arouses the desire to develop a prosperous and happy country in the new period. The exhibition is not only for propaganda and education purposes but also a cultural experience space for the people and international visitors.

The exhibition is organized in an open, multi-level format, with the exhibition space logically arranged on the indoor and outdoor exhibition area of ​​the National Exhibition Center, up to nearly 260,000m2, with 3 main zones.

The general exhibition area at Kim Quy Exhibition House with the theme "Vietnam - Journey to the New Era" introduces and displays the outstanding achievements of the Country in 80 years of construction and development; introduces Vietnamese culture, the country, and its people with a 4,000-year cultural tradition; the rich cultural diversity of 54 ethnic groups; the abundance of resources, products of the three regions and outstanding architectural works past and present across the country.

Here, the exhibition space with the theme "95 years of the Party flag lighting the way" recreates major events, brilliant milestones in modern Vietnamese history, and the country's achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam through the ages.

At Kim Quy House, there is also a space to display the history of formation, achievements of innovation, cultural identity, potential, and development advantages of localities with the theme "Rich province, strong country" ; a space to display the achievements of enterprises with the aspiration and spirit of rapid development "like Saint Giong" as directed by General Secretary To Lam when meeting with the business community...

The outdoor exhibition area in the West, South and East courtyards with the theme “Integration and Development” introduces green industries and the journey of green transformation and digital transformation; Vietnam’s security and defense industry with the theme “Sword and Shield”; the aviation and aerospace industry with “Aspiration for the Sky”; along with art performance spaces, tourism and culinary fairs, etc.

Exhibition block A is an international exhibition with the theme "Vietnam and the World" and an exhibition area of ​​12 cultural industries with the theme "Integration and Creativity."

According to Minister Nguyen Van Hung, one of the highlights of this Exhibition is the strong application of modern technology and the introduction of many creative display ideas appearing for the first time in a national-scale exhibition.

Virtual reality technology, augmented reality, interactive touch screens, 3D models and multimedia projections will be integrated synchronously in exhibition spaces, helping the public not only observe but also directly interact, explore and experience, helping to convey content in a more intuitive, vivid and accessible way.

Spread the desire to excel

In his opening speech, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the exhibition “80 years of Independence-Freedom-Happiness journey” is a special highlight, not only honoring the glorious historical journey, but also spreading patriotism, national pride, aspirations to rise up, affirming Vietnam’s potential and position on the path of innovation, integration and development.

The exhibition demonstrates the cultural traditions, the spirit of hard work, and effective production and business of the people and enterprises in all regions of the country; especially depicting the image of the country and people of Vietnam with thousands of years of heroic history of the nation; the culture imbued with national identity and unity in diversity of 54 ethnic groups; the richness of products in all 3 regions of the country; the development and progress of all ministries, departments, branches, 34 provinces and cities over the past 80 years.

According to the Prime Minister, the exhibition "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" deeply reflects and is the crystallization of the contributions and dedication of the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army throughout the glorious and heroic 80-year history of the Vietnamese Revolution, with the very active, proactive and creative participation of the Party agencies at the Central level, the agencies of the National Assembly, all levels, sectors, localities, and representatives of the business community in the organization and implementation process.

The exhibition is also a “living school”, with a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity, bringing history closer and more accessible, so that today’s generations can better understand their origins, the great sacrifices and achievements of previous generations; thereby adding motivation, inspiration, and nurturing the aspiration to bring the country steadily into a new era, an era of wealth, civilization, prosperity, and prosperity, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers.

Immediately after the opening ceremony of the exhibition, General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and delegates visited the spaces displaying the country's achievements.

The exhibition is open free of charge to the public and visitors from August 28 to September 5./.
