About 300m of Hai Tien sea embankment was eroded and seriously damaged.

However, due to the impact of storms and rains, especially storm No. 5 in 2025 and the post-storm circulation with strong winds, heavy rainfall on August 25, 2025 combined with high tides and high waves with high frequency, the dike slope has collapsed, some points have sunk, the dike surface has sunk, causing cracks and tilting of the dike in the border area of ​​Dong Thanh village, Hoang Tien commune and Thanh Xuan village, old Hoang Hai commune with a length of about 300m, affecting the safety of the entire dike line (disaster prevention works), traffic roads close to the dike.

Many embankment positions collapsed.

With high tides, big waves and the peak of the 2025 storm season, there is a high risk of the embankment collapsing at the above location at any time, causing potential insecurity for people and tourists, and affecting the property of organizations and individuals in the area.

Local authorities have put up signs warning of the danger zone.

Therefore, the People's Committee of Hoang Tien commune reports to the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province for consideration: Directing relevant departments, branches and sectors to inspect and consider declaring an emergency situation of landslides in Hoang Tien commune embankment in order to quickly deploy handling measures to ensure the safety of life and property of people, tourists and property of organizations and individuals in the above area; supporting funding for investment to overcome and handle the above landslide phenomenon; at the same time, supporting the People's Committee of Hoang Tien commune to implement measures that need to be taken immediately during the time of completing investment procedures.
