At the workshop, Ms. Ton Nu Thi Ninh, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Peace Committee, affirmed that the workshop contributed to promoting dialogue, cooperation and sharing of initiatives in the fields of museology, history and peace studies. In particular, many recent studies have continued to write the story of peace in the new era; proposing important solutions and orientations to help museums continue to be a special model for preserving heritage, promoting reconciliation and international cooperation.

Speaking at the workshop, Ms. Huynh Ngoc Van, Director of the Ao Dai Museum, former Director of the War Remnants Museum, shared that she had been associated with the War Remnants Museum for 26 years. “Since 1998, the museum has become a member of the International Network of Museums for Peace (INMP). The museum has also actively participated in peace education activities, such as: Organizing exhibitions; exchanging with veterans; supporting victims of Agent Orange. Thanks to these efforts, the museum has been awarded many international titles, and has become a symbol of friendship and peace,” Ms. Huynh Ngoc Van said.
From the perspective of the "Museum for Peace" and the mission of "peace lecture hall", Associate Professor Dr. Ha Minh Hong, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Historical Science Association, said that the philosophy of "putting the past behind and looking towards the future" has been consistently applied by Vietnam, even with opponents who have caused wars, to heal wounds and consolidate the foundation of long-term peace on the basis of reconciliation and cooperation.

According to Mr. Ron Carver, Director of the Peacebuilding Education Foundation in Vietnam, in recent years, the United States has actively participated in efforts to overcome the consequences of war, reducing the pain for generations affected by chemical weapons and anti-personnel bombs in Vietnam.
Mr. Ron Carver also appreciated the War Remnants Museum's desire to include an exhibition recognizing the role of the United States in efforts to overcome the consequences of war, especially for victims of Agent Orange and unexploded bombs in Vietnam. At the same time, he hoped that the US Government would maintain this cooperation and restore financial resources as well as cooperation to continue the work of restoring the consequences of war in Vietnam.
At the conference, nearly 70 presentations by scientists and researchers focused on the Vietnamese people's desire for peace. These were historical values, traditions of peace-loving and the role of museums in educating the younger generation; 50 years of spreading peace, to affirm the position of the War Remnants Museum as a cultural symbol, a member of the world peace museum system.
