Mr. Tran Trung Thanh, Director of Agribank Moc Chau Son La Branch, informed: As of mid-2025, the unit has lent to over 2,800 customers, with a total outstanding loan of over VND 2,500 billion; in which, outstanding loans in the agricultural - rural sector always account for over 80% of the total outstanding loans of the whole branch. Not only focusing on lending to invest in the strengths of the region such as fruit tree planting and dairy farming, Agribank also expands credit for clean, organic, and high-tech agricultural models. Bringing Agribank services to people in remote communes, the unit has deployed 4 mobile transaction points using specialized cars; at the same time, deploying hundreds of QRCode and VietQR payment points at traditional markets, cooperatives, and agricultural product stalls, making financial transactions easier and more convenient.
In addition, Agribank Moc Chau Son La Branch is also an active factor in the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, participating in funding many essential infrastructure projects, such as roads, irrigation, medical stations, rural clean water systems, etc. with a total outstanding loan balance for new rural construction of up to 345 billion VND; coordinating with grassroots socio-political organizations to establish dozens of lending groups, helping people access preferential credit policies easily and transparently. Mr. Nguyen Van Doc, Pa Khen residential group, Thao Nguyen ward, used to be a poor household and started his business more than 30 years ago, with a loan of 50 million VND from Agribank Moc Chau to invest in planting 7 hectares of plums and escaped poverty. Mr. Doc shared: Up to now, the family has expanded to more than 20 hectares of plums, borrowing 4-5 billion VND each year to invest in plum planting, installing automatic irrigation systems; providing seeds, fertilizers and consuming products for farmers. Each year, the family earns 3-4 billion VND in profit; at the same time, creating jobs for 30 local workers, with an income of 7-15 million VND/month depending on the season.
With the motto "Customer-centric", Agribank Moc Chau Son La Branch has been promoting digital transformation, putting into operation the Agribank Digital digital banking kiosk, allowing customers to identify themselves biometrically, open accounts, transfer money, make savings deposits... completely automatically 24/7. Issuing domestic chip cards "Loc Viet Cards", helping customers pay quickly at points of sale, receive salaries via accounts, and make cashless purchases. To enhance the experience, the Branch also established service teams that go directly to villages and hamlets, introduce new products, and guide people to install and use electronic banking applications.
