Ms. Vu Thi Thu Thuy said: The 2025 Census is one of the most important general surveys of the Statistics sector, conducted periodically every 10 years. The results of the 2025 Census serve the compilation of relevant statistical indicators in the national statistical indicator system; compile socio -economic indicators to serve the assessment of the current situation, analysis of change trends, development of plans and strategies for rural development, agriculture, forestry and fisheries (AFF) and improvement of rural living standards nationwide as well as in each locality. The monitoring delegation inspected the actual collection of information on the 2025 Census in the localities in the early days to promptly grasp the implementation situation, difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process. In Can Tho City, the 2025 Census will be conducted in 3,234 locations, with a survey force of over 3,800 people including investigators, supervisors at all levels, team leaders and representatives of the Steering Committees at all levels. The 2025 Census will collect information for 30 days, from July 1 to July 30, 2025. The 2025 Census will collect 3 groups of information: the current status of agricultural and forestry production; the current status of rural areas; information on rural residents. The subjects of the survey include: workers participating in agricultural and forestry activities; households participating in agricultural and forestry activities; farms, enterprises, cooperatives participating in agricultural and forestry activities; People's Committees of communes, etc.

As planned, the Central Monitoring Delegation on the 2025 Census will continue to inspect information collection in Soc Trang province (old) and Hau Giang province (old) on July 5 and 6, 2025.
