Domestic gold price increased sharply, surpassing 121 million/tael

(QNgTV) - On the morning of July 8, the domestic gold market recorded a strong increase. The price of SJC gold bars was listed at 119 - 121 million VND/tael, an increase of 500,000 VND each way compared to the end of yesterday.

This development followed the world gold price jumping to over 3,330 USD/ounce, when US President Donald Trump announced retaliatory tariffs on 14 countries, causing US stocks to plummet. Currently, the domestic gold price is about 15 million VND/tael higher than the world price after conversion.

For gold rings, Phu Quy Group listed the price at 113.9 - 116.9 million VND/tael, while Saigon Jewelry Company kept the price at 113.9 - 116.4 million VND/tael. Within just 24 hours, the domestic gold price increased again by 1 million VND/tael after yesterday's decrease.
