Digital Farming Technology: Solution for the Pig Farming Industry
According to the Agriculture and Environment newspaper, the increase of dangerous diseases such as African swine fever is posing many challenges to the Vietnamese livestock industry. In this context, the application of digital technology has become a strategic direction, helping livestock farmers minimize risks, improve efficiency and move towards sustainable development.
In key localities such as Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Tay Ninh, digital technology is applied to manage real-time data, automate processes and provide early warnings. This helps farmers move from experience-based practices to a more scientific approach.
Modern surveillance systems combined with artificial intelligence (AI), big data and the Internet of Things (IoT) are helping to analyze and predict diseases, thereby optimizing the allocation of resources and vaccines. Some farms have used AI to assess disease risk by area, helping to proactively adjust farming processes.
According to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, the application of automatic control models not only significantly reduces the risk of disease but also limits negative impacts on the environment. Digital technology is reshaping the livestock industry, moving towards a smarter, safer and more sustainable system.
