On the afternoon of July 8, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc had a meeting and worked with Intel Corporation.
At the meeting, Ms. Sarah Kemp, Vice President of Global International Government Relations of Intel Corporation, said that there was an opportunity to cooperate with the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP) in promoting the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and training of AI human resources.
Ms. Sarah Kemp emphasized that for the future to develop, AI application is indispensable. structured, Intel is committed to supporting Ho Chi Minh City in soon achieving the goal of training at least 9,000 semiconductor workers (according to the plan to implement the Vietnam Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050) to serve the AI industry in the coming time.
Intel proposes implementing AI training programs for civil servants, helping them use AI technology in their work to improve work efficiency. This is followed by training programs for those who are working and are about to work, helping them better prepare for future jobs.
"We have coordinated with SHTP to build an AI program, learn online, self-study and popularize AI knowledge to the public," said Ms. Sarah Kemp.

In addition to AI training, Intel also encouraged its overseas suppliers to set up manufacturing plants in Ho Chi Minh City. The group also expressed its desire to contribute to the city's industrial development.
On the occasion of the upcoming anniversary of its establishment in Vietnam, Ms. Sarah Kemp invited Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc to attend and visit Intel's factory.
According to Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc, after the merger, Ho Chi Minh City will open up great development space for high technology, finance, clean energy,education and healthcare.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has high expectations for the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park - where Intel is currently operating its factory. Ho Chi Minh City will expand this park, requesting Intel to expand its investment, helping Ho Chi Minh City as well as Vietnam train in technology in general and AI in particular, as well as design semiconductor chips, helping to improve information technology.
"Intel and the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park need to have a specific agreement on the content, quality of training and the quality brought to the city.
