On this occasion, musician Pham Dac Hien, Chairman of the Binh Duong Province Literature and Arts Association, presented a symbol to honor artists who have made outstanding contributions to the development of Binh Duong province's culture and arts after the country's reunification.
Musician Lu Nhat Vu (1936–2025) left behind a musical legacy imbued with the Southern spirit, rich in patriotism, with many songs associated with the resistance movement and the country's construction.
Songs such as “Saigon Girl Carrying Ammunition”, “The Song of the Pioneers”, “Please Rest Assured, Mom” and especially “Southern Land Song” (released in 1997, the music in the movie “Southern Land”) are loved by many people for their ability to evoke with melody, rhythm, and sound the time of settlers opening up the land, carrying layers of regional cultural meaning and the identity of the Southern people.
