At the first meeting of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee recently held, in the list of key tasks, site clearance for the North-South high-speed railway project through Gia Lai was identified as an important political task, requiring the synchronous participation of the entire political system.
According to the report, the high-speed railway line through Gia Lai province has a total length of about 115 km, passing through many wards and communes. The project will arrange two large stations, Bong Son and Dieu Tri, with a total land use demand of about 758 hectares, of which the area requiring site clearance is about 323 hectares, affecting more than 4,400 households.
To proactively implement, the province has established a Provincial Steering Committee for Land Acquisition and Site Clearance, and assigned the Provincial Land Fund Development Center as the investor to plan and invest in the construction of 42 resettlement areas with an area of over 168 hectares, 6 reburial areas of 3.65 hectares, along with a system of soil mines and waste dumps to serve the construction.
Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, said that the province is directing localities where the road passes through to step up propaganda and widely inform people within the planned land acquisition area. At the same time, the province requires strict control of illegal construction to avoid taking advantage of the land acquisition policy. Departments and branches are assigned to review and adjust land use plans and projects as a legal basis for land acquisition to implement the project.
Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has issued a document requesting the Ministry of Construction to promptly direct the Project Management Board to deploy the installation of land clearance markers in the field, hand over the boundary markers for the locality to measure and create cadastral maps, serving the compensation work in accordance with regulations. At the same time, the province proposed that the Government consider supporting funding from the central budget to build resettlement areas, reburial areas and proposed to issue a special mechanism in granting licenses for mineral exploitation as construction materials for the project.
Accelerating the progress of site clearance for high-speed railways and key projects is not only a requirement for progress but also demonstrates the political determination of the Party Committee, government and people of Gia Lai province in realizing development goals, creating an important premise for Gia Lai to truly become a new driving force of the Central Highlands region.
Accelerate key projects to create room for development
Mr. Rah Lan Chung, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Council, said that in the coming time, the province will continue to resolutely direct departments, branches and localities to urgently complete investment procedures to soon start a series of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key projects include runway No. 2 and synchronous items of Phu Cat airport, Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway with a total investment of nearly 44,000 billion VND, Hoai My and Phu My industrial parks, CK54 new urban area in Pleiku city, pine hill eco-cultural tourism area, and traffic connections from the North - South expressway to Phu My industrial parks and port.
The synchronous implementation of large-scale regional connectivity projects will create new development space, connect administrative units after merging, and open up comprehensive development momentum for Gia Lai.
