Conference overview.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the main targets assigned to the Agriculture and Environment sector were all implemented as required. Notably, the growth rate reached 4.25%, reaching 100% of the plan. Food output was 883,230 tons; the area of land accumulation for large-scale, high-tech agricultural production was 2,594.3 hectares; the forest coverage rate reached 53.95%; and the output of exploitation and aquaculture both increased compared to the same period.
The rate of rural population using hygienic water reached 98.2%, of which the rate of rural population using clean water according to the Ministry of Health's standards reached 64.4%; the rate of collection and treatment of solid waste in daily life reached 92.8%; the rate of poor households decreased to 3.02%.

The province has 2 more new rural districts; 14 new rural communes; 2 districts, 11 advanced new rural communes and 8 model new rural communes, 39 OCOP products recognized. Irrigation, dykes, flood and storm prevention and water resources are focused. Quality management and food safety of agricultural, forestry and fishery products are concerned.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Department of Agriculture and Environment also did a good job of advising on land management; granting licenses for exploration, exploitation, auctioning mineral rights, protecting the environment, and clearing land for investment projects using land in the province.

At the conference, representatives of specialized departments and units under the Department of Agriculture and Environment focused on analyzing the causes, problems and limitations in the work in the first 6 months of 2025. At the same time, they proposed tasks and solutions to complete the tasks in the last months of the year.

At the same time, promote the shift in crop structure; accumulate and concentrate land to develop large-scale, high-tech agriculture; increase added value, especially for key local agricultural products. Strengthen forest management and protection; develop safe livestock farming, control diseases. Resolutely implement urgent solutions to combat illegal IUU fishing. Effectively implement the work of building new rural areas; land management; minerals, environmental protection, site clearance...
In the immediate future, specialized departments will establish working groups ready to support communes in the fields of natural resources, environment and agriculture when the two-level government comes into operation. Specialized departments and affiliated units will improve public ethics, sense of responsibility, quality, progress in handling work, attitude towards serving the people and businesses of cadres, civil servants and public employees; resolutely handle and strictly rotate cadres, civil servants and public employees with attitudes and behaviors that cause difficulties and harassment to investors and businesses.
