Head of the Economic - Infrastructure Department of Tan Ninh Ward, To Nguyen Nhi Linh, said: According to the plan, all trees on the median strip of CMT8 Street will be relocated to be planted in parks, median strips of other streets such as Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Nguyen Trong Cat, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Le Duan, Dien Bien Phu and planted in the premises of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Giong Ca Special Forces Base, 30/4 Heroic Martyrs Monument Park (Binh Minh Ward), Thang Loi Park.

The remaining trees and ornamental plants will be planted in pots and arranged in other public places. Ornamental pots, ac o trees, and lawns, because they cannot be moved or the cost of moving is more expensive than the investment cost of planting new ones, will be liquidated and destroyed.

In parallel with the relocation of trees and ornamental plants on the median strip of CMT8 Street, Tay Ninh Urban Construction Joint Stock Company is currently urgently removing the branches of star apple and oil trees on both sides of CMT8 Street. The trees on both sides of this street have been planted for decades, contributing to creating shade for the street, so they will continue to be retained.

Mr. To Nguyen Nhi Linh said that the Department coordinated with Tay Ninh Urban Construction Joint Stock Company to remove tree branches to ensure safety during the rainy and stormy season and safety during the construction and renovation of CMT8 road. For the public lighting system on CMT8 road, the ward will collect the lighting poles, decorative lights, transformer stations, control cabinets, and store them in the warehouse for management according to regulations; coordinate with the project investor to dismantle them as the construction progresses, ensuring that there are still lights on the road at locations that have not been constructed. The ward People's Committee will assign units to evaluate and utilize the old lamp posts, lamp arms, light bulbs, and control cabinets for other suitable projects in the area.

The project to renovate CMT8 road, from Quan bridge to Dien Bien Phu street (Tan Ninh ward) has a length of 4,474m, roadbed width of 27m, including 2 car lanes, 2 mixed lanes, 2 sidewalks.

In particular, the current median strip of CMT8 Street will be completely removed to create ventilation and convenience for vehicles. The existing cement concrete sidewalks and many types of paving bricks will be replaced with rough granite, and the curbs will be made of cement concrete. There will be a path for the disabled on the sidewalk.

Notably, the old, degraded storm water drainage system using sewer pipes that cannot ensure current drainage capacity will be replaced by a vertical sewer system that drains water into Tay Ninh canal. Meanwhile, the domestic wastewater drainage system is connected to the Tan Ninh ward wastewater collection and treatment system to transfer to the water treatment plant.

Many black star trees on the sidewalk of Cach Mang Thang Tam have had their branches trimmed.

The stunted and slow-growing trees on both sides of the road will be replaced by black star trees to match the well-growing black star trees. The lighting system along the entire route is invested in accordance with national technical standards. The traffic safety system includes lane marking paint, pedestrian crossing paint, signs, markers, and kilometer markers designed according to national standards on road signs.

Some existing traffic light poles at the Cao Dai Holy See intersection were replaced with new 6m high traffic light poles with 9m spans, on which were arranged 3 headlights for the branches of CMT8 and Ly Thuong Kiet streets; 2 traffic light poles at the intersection with Hoang Le Kha street and 1 pole at the intersection with Dien Bien Phu street were relocated to ensure traffic safety.

It is expected that after 365 days of construction, the CMT8 Road Renovation Project will be completed./.
