That is the content that Mr. Freddy Nánez, Vice President, Minister of Information and Communications and President of Venezuela's Central Television mentioned at the meeting and working session with Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My, on July 8.
Expressing admiration and appreciation for the great achievements of the renovation and construction of socialism initiated and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam , Vice President Freddy Nánez emphasized that this is an important foundation for Vietnam to firmly enter the "era of rising up", building a strong Vietnam with rich people, strong country, equality, democracy and civilization.
Vice President Freddy Nánez affirmed that Venezuela and Vietnam, although geographically far apart, share core values of national independence, freedom, social justice and people's happiness, and similarities in the ideology of Liberator and National Hero Simón Bolivar and President Ho Chi Minh, National Liberation Hero and World Cultural Celebrity.
Therefore, in the context of the world situation and the two regions having many complex and unpredictable developments, negatively affecting the development of both countries, this poses many opportunities and challenges for the information and communication sector in protecting national independence and socialism in both Venezuela and Vietnam.
On the basis of the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership, Vice President Freddy Nánez suggested that Venezuela and Vietnam need to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of information and communications.
Accordingly, the two countries need to coordinate and promote propaganda, introduction and promotion of information on each country's mass media about guidelines and policies; important events of each country; about the history and culture of the country and its people; about the socio -economic development situation, potential and cooperation opportunities in various fields of each country to contribute to improving understanding and promoting bilateral relations.
Speaking as President of Venezuelan Central Television, Vice President Freddy Nánez emphasized that television holds a particularly important position in disseminating timely, accurate and vivid information, promoting exchange, cooperation and mutual understanding among peoples.
In that spirit, Mr. Freddy Nánez hopes that Venezuelan Central Television and Vietnam Television will consider establishing a cooperation mechanism soon; coordinate in transmitting official, authentic, and objective information about the situation of the two countries, about political, economic, cultural, social contents as well as typical features of the two countries.
Expressing his sincere gratitude for the personal proposal of Vice President Freddy Nánez, as well as that of Venezuelan leaders for the Party, State and people of Vietnam, Ambassador Vu Trung My affirmed that he will do his best to contribute to strengthening and deepening the traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Venezuela in general as well as the relationship in the field of information and communication between the two countries.
Ambassador Vu Trung My highly appreciated the fact that Venezuelan Central Television as well as Venezuelan media agencies have regularly reported and updated information on the situation in Vietnam. In particular, Venezuelan Central Television is one of the first television stations in Latin American countries to report on the event of Vietnam officially operating a two-level local government model and reorganizing administrative boundaries in a streamlined, effective and efficient manner on July 1, 2025.
Committed to continuing to play a bridging role in promoting cooperation between the two countries' Central Televisions in the coming time, Ambassador Vu Trung My believes that effective cooperation between the two television stations will contribute to promoting foreign communication work, widely promoting the image of Vietnam - a country that loves peace, friendship, cooperation, development, is a friend, a reliable partner, and a responsible member of the international community; at the same time, helping Vietnamese audiences better understand a peaceful, beautiful, rich in identity and full of development potential Venezuela.

Expressing his emotion at being presented with the book of poems “Prison Diary”, Vice President Freddy Nánez said that as a writer and poet who has visited the beautiful and hospitable country of Vietnam twice, he had the opportunity to learn about Vietnamese literature and poetry, including the book of poems “Prison Diary” by President Ho Chi Minh.
“To me, the poetry collection 'Prison Diary' is a great literary work expressing the thoughts and feelings of President Ho Chi Minh - the great national liberation hero, outstanding cultural figure of Vietnam and the world. This work is not only a collection of poems, but also a manifesto of revolutionary ideals, of the indomitable spirit of communist soldiers, and of the aspiration for peace and freedom for all peoples. The poetry collection not only has a profound educational effect on many generations of Vietnamese people but also on peace-loving people and the world revolutionary movement,” Vice President Freddy Nánez shared.
