The house is on fire, please call the fire department for me! Panicked by the call, my husband drove me from home to my sister's house while calling the fire police"...

From home (Dam Sen Park area) to my sister's house, it took more than 10 minutes to drive, but my husband was not steady on the wheel. Worried, I stopped the car and called my sister, "Help me, it's too hot! My two children and I can't get out!", then the phone went silent. I called dozens more times, but no one answered. At that moment, I knew something bad had happened to my sister's family! When I arrived, the fire had engulfed the entire house!" - Ms. Nguyet Anh painfully recounted.

Ms. Nguyet Anh added that the ground floor apartment of Doc Lap apartment owned by her sister is about 60 square meters wide, designed with 2 bedrooms, 1 living room and kitchen. The front yard has a corrugated iron roof to park cars, 2 motorbikes and 2 bicycles. When closing the door to go to bed, the exit is jammed with vehicles parked here. Ms. Anh's brother-in-law works in event organization, so the house contains many flammable items. Ms. Nguyet Anh once advised her brother and sister to clean up the house to avoid fire, but unexpectedly...

The motorbike taxi arrived at the mortuary area. Mrs. Tran Thi Lien, over 60 years old, mother of victim Nhat Anh, was in so much pain that she could not cry out loud. She almost collapsed when she heard that her daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren had passed away. She said that she lived with her daughter in the house that burned down. A few days ago, Nhat Anh's two children were on summer vacation so the whole family went to Da Lat for a vacation . Mrs. Lien did not go but went to her sister's house in Cu Chi to play.
“Yesterday they came back from Da Lat, said they were too tired from the long journey so they couldn't pick me up and asked me to stay and play for a few more days before going home. Unexpectedly, that was the last thing I heard from them!…” – Mrs. Lien choked.

People are cleaning up, collecting burnt items and searching for what is left. Some people who ran out with their belongings during the fire at night, have gathered their belongings and returned to their apartments this afternoon.

Mr. Tran Quang Khanh (born in 1970, living on the upper floor of the burnt house) said that when the fire broke out, his son called to inform him, he was outside and quickly returned home. Hearing that the 4 family members escaped safely, Mr. Khanh felt relieved. The fire spread and burned down his bedroom and part of the kitchen.
“We lost everything, but my family was lucky because everyone was safe. Looking at the neighbor's house, I remembered the scene of Mr. Dung's two children playing in the yard,” Mr. Khanh said while cleaning the house.
