Propaganda work "one step ahead"

For many months now, the team of cadres and employees collecting social insurance and health insurance at units and localities - those who have direct contact with people and businesses - have proactively and flexibly implemented propaganda and mobilization activities, bringing the Social Insurance Law 2024 to all classes of people, contributing to building a sustainable social security system.

As a collection officer of the Social Insurance of Cu M'gar district (formerly) for many years, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien expressed her joy when the Social Insurance Law 2024 was passed, because the new law brings more benefits to participants. At the same time, propaganda and mobilization work has also become more favorable.

Since the last months of 2024, every time she met people or people who had participated in voluntary social insurance, she introduced new policies that were more beneficial to participants, such as increasing the level of State support, reducing the number of years of social insurance contributions to receive pensions and maternity benefits...

Thanks to that, the number of people participating in voluntary social insurance is increasing. In June alone, Ms. Hien was able to recruit more than 50 participants.

Ms. Vo Thi Binh (born in 1973, in Quang Phu commune) is a specific example of the effectiveness of this propaganda work. Ms. Binh decided to participate in voluntary social insurance from the beginning of June 2025 and chose an income of 4.7 million VND/month as the basis for voluntary social insurance payment. The main reason for her participation at this age is because she was advised about the advantages of the new social insurance policy, especially the reduction in the number of years of participation to receive a pension and the increase in the level of support from the state budget. With the time of social insurance payment almost enough until retirement age, she only needs to pay 3-4 more years to receive a pension.

Another case is Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong (born in 1998, in Quang Phu commune), who has just participated in voluntary social insurance after Ms. Hien informed her about the Social Insurance Law in 2024. Ms. Thuong chose an income of 9.2 million VND/month as the basis for voluntary social insurance payment. According to Ms. Thuong, she is young, has a stable income and is not married yet, so she decided to participate in voluntary social insurance with the hope of having a stable life when she is old, not having to worry about living expenses, especially when she gets married and has children, she will also enjoy maternity benefits.

In Phu Yen ward, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet (collection staff of Phu Yen Community Media Company) is known by many people for her perseverance and efforts in propaganda work, bringing social insurance policies to each household. With the desire that every citizen has a stable life when they retire, she is determined to advise everyone, starting with her relatives. In order to widely communicate, she has carefully studied the documents provided by the social insurance industry, from which she divides each content into each target group to advise and explain more easily. Ms. Nguyet said: “Almost every day, I ride my motorbike to families to help people better understand the voluntary social insurance policy, especially when there is information about the draft Social Insurance Law in 2024. After hearing about the new and more beneficial points, many people have proactively registered to ensure their lives when they retire, including many people who were hesitant before, but now understand and participate”.

Along with the "going from house to house, meeting each subject" propaganda of the officials and tax collectors, other propaganda activities are also deployed in a variety of ways, from organizing conferences, seminars, direct dialogues to using modern communication channels such as social networks and newspapers. The propaganda content focuses on new points, regulations that are more beneficial to participants; at the same time, clearly analyzing the long-term benefits that social insurance brings to individuals, families and communities. Flexibility in the approach helps the message to be effectively conveyed to each specific group of subjects.

With the initiative, flexibility and determination of the Social Insurance Agency in Region XXVI, especially the staff and employees collecting at the grassroots level, the Social Insurance Law 2024 is gradually coming into effect. These efforts not only contribute significantly to building a comprehensive, sustainable and humane social security system, but also create strong trust in the community for a safe and secure future.
