When asked how the phone number of Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic magazine, came to be on his phone, Mr. Waltz said he did not know.
“Have you ever had someone’s phone number show up as their name and then someone else’s number? Of course, I didn’t see the ‘loser’ (Goldberg) in the group chat. We’re trying to figure out whether Goldberg was infiltrated intentionally or if this happened by some other technical means… It’s a shame, but the White House will get to the bottom of this,” the US national security adviser said.
However, on March 25, The Atlantic magazine continued to reject criticism from senior US officials surrounding the recently published article titled "The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me About War Plans."
