Art program "Independence Star" in the city named after Uncle Ho

On the evening of September 2, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the 80th anniversary of the Saigon Uprising to seize power (August 25, 1945 - August 25, 2025), the Organizing Committee for the celebration of major holidays in Ho Chi Minh City organized a special art program "Independence Starlight," connecting from 3 points: Saigon ward (Nguyen Hue walking street), Binh Duong ward (Binh Duong ward park) and Vung Tau ward (Thuy Van sea square).

Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang attended at the Vung Tau Ward bridge (Thuy Van Sea Square). "Independence Star" is not only an art program, but also a topical event when Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau officially become a regional megacity.

The program "Independent Starlight" chooses the form of 3 connecting points, carrying a symbolic artistic message: sharing a proud national beat.

The program opened with a laser mapping performance combined with traditional music , recreating images of bronze drums, dragons from the Ly Dynasty and the words "Vietnam" - as an affirmation that history and the present always go hand in hand.

At the Saigon Ward bridge, the program was staged with 3 chapters including: "From Sen Village to the successful August Revolution"; "Resistance against France and America"; "The city innovates, develops, enters the era of growth."

The audience relives the flow of history from Uncle Ho's journey to find a way to save the country, the victory of the August Revolution, the resistance wars against colonialism and imperialism, to the work of building and developing the country.

Despite the heavy rain, the artists and singers were still enthusiastic, performing in the rain, bringing the audience special performances.

In addition to the revolutionary songs that have been around for years such as “Last night I dreamed of meeting Uncle Ho,” “From Sen village - Footprints ahead,” “The Party gave us a spring,” “Uncle Ho a boundless love,” “August flag,” “August 19,” “The road to the front,” “Proud melody,” “Wishing to be a Vietnamese person”... , the program also combines many modernly staged performances with the support of LED, mapping and laser technology. The program has the participation of many famous artists such as: Meritorious Artists Le Thien, Van Khanh; Trong Tan, Anh Tho, Pham Trang, Duyen Huyen, Huong Tram, Duc Phuc, Giang Hong Ngoc, Vo Ha Tram, Ho Trung Dung, Thanh Ngoc, Kay Tran, circus performers Phuoc Hien-Thanh Hoa, Lac Viet group, Sen Viet group, Viet Hai dance troupe, Seawind dance troupe, DJ Mi Mi...
