Soldiers of the 25th Engineer Brigade are vivid manifestations of Uncle Ho's Army.

The President affirmed that the Brigade's soldiers are vivid manifestations of the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, worthy of the heroic tradition of the people's armed forces in the renewal period.

On the morning of July 5, during the working program of the Mekong Delta provinces, President To Lam and the Central working delegation visited and worked at the 25th Engineering Brigade of Military Region 9 in Vinh Long province.

Also attending the meeting were members of the Party Central Committee: Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha; Head of the Office of the President Le Khanh Hai; Deputy Minister of National Defense, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong; Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee Bui Van Nghiem; and leaders of Military Region 9 and Engineer Brigade 25.

The 25th Engineer Brigade is the core unit of the Engineer force of Military Region 9 with 9 stations, performing tasks in 4 provinces and cities: Vinh Long, Dong Thap; Kien Giang and Can Tho city, including Tho Chau island commune and Tien Hai island commune of Kien Giang province.

The Brigade's core political tasks are combat readiness, search and rescue; counter-terrorism; combat training; construction of combat structures and handling of bombs, mines and explosives left over from the war; building a regular army, building a strong and exemplary Party organization, and a comprehensively strong unit that is "Exemplary and exemplary."

In the first 6 months of the year, although living and working conditions still faced many difficulties, the nature of the tasks was complicated and dangerous, the officers and soldiers of the Brigade still regularly trained themselves to have a strong political stance, determination and high responsibility, strived to overcome difficulties, achieved many outstanding results, strictly implemented the instructions and orders of superiors, and successfully completed the assigned tasks.

Speaking at the working session, President To Lam emphasized that in recent years, the armed forces of Military Region 9 in general and the units of the Military Region, including the 25th Engineering Brigade in particular, have thoroughly grasped and closely followed the key political tasks, strictly followed the leadership and direction of the superior Party Committee and local Party Committees, well implemented combat readiness regimes, regular and unexpected tasks, and achieved many important results.

Reviewing the Brigade's outstanding achievements, the President highly appreciated the unit's good performance in combat training; readiness to take on anti-terrorism, search and rescue missions when situations arise; building a clean, strong, exemplary Party organization; building a comprehensively strong unit that is "Exemplary and exemplary"; building and consolidating good solidarity with local Party committees, authorities, and people's organizations in the areas where it is stationed...

The President affirmed that the officers and soldiers of the Brigade are vivid manifestations of the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, worthy of the tradition of the heroic unit of the people's armed forces in the renovation period.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the President warmly commended and praised the efforts, achievements and results of the armed forces of Military Region 9 in general and the officers and soldiers of Engineering Brigade 25 in particular, which have been achieved in the recent past.

Pointing out that in the coming time, the military, national defense and Fatherland protection tasks along with the policy of building a "refined, compact and strong" army will pose increasingly high new requirements, the President requested the unit to continue to promote the glorious tradition of the armed forces of Military Region 9, continue to thoroughly grasp and well implement the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels, concretize and successfully carry out the political tasks of the unit, resolutely fight against individualism in all situations, carry out well the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in conjunction with the Campaign to promote the tradition of talent dedication, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers, and do well the preparation work for the 50th anniversary of the Brigade's Traditional Day in 2025.

The President requested that the unit also regularly do a good job of political and ideological education; officers and soldiers must have a strong political stance and a high sense of responsibility in performing their duties and tasks; actively protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; improve their qualifications and combat readiness, and be ready to participate in helping people in preventing, combating, and overcoming consequences when natural disasters and catastrophes occur.

Along with that, the Brigade needs to focus on implementing good training, mastering both specialized techniques and tactics; deploying the construction of combat works to ensure the requirements of active construction quality in handling bombs, mines, and explosives left over from the war and ensuring absolute safety in performing traffic safety tasks; regularly consolidating and building regular units; implementing well the regulations on grassroots democracy, internal solidarity, and solidarity between the army and the people; promoting the movement to build units with a good cultural environment, linking the movement of the entire people uniting to build a cultural life in residential areas, closely attached to the people.

The President requested the unit to resolutely and persistently fight against corruption and negativity, build a team of cadres with strong political will, constantly strive to overcome difficulties and challenges to successfully complete all tasks./.
