Delegation group No. 06 of Dong Thap Provincial People's Council met with voters of Tan Hoa commune

At the meeting, voters of Tan Hoa commune heard a report on the results of the first and second sessions of the 10th term Dong Thap Provincial People's Council; at the same time, they were informed about the situation of resolving voters' opinions and recommendations in the previous meeting.

During this meeting with voters, voters of Tan Hoa commune raised 10 opinions and recommendations related to many areas of people's lives. Some notable contents: Unstable agricultural product prices, high cost of agricultural materials, affecting production; requesting to soon complete the roads under construction before the new school year, making it easier for students to go to school; requesting the water sector to adjust the time of recording consumption indexes and collecting water bills on the 1st of every month; many households in the commune have not been given house numbers for many years, which need to be reviewed and resolved soon; the commune still has a road with an inconsistent name, causing inconvenience to the people.

Voters speak out.

In particular, voters reported the case of the Hamlet Chief who had participated in voluntary social insurance for more than 14 years with a high contribution rate, because he was not previously eligible for State support. However, according to the new regulations (from July 1), this subject must switch to compulsory social insurance because he has received State support for payment. The problem is that the current compulsory social insurance contribution rate is lower than the previous voluntary contribution rate, affecting the retirement regime later. Voters requested the Social Insurance sector to review and adjust the policy accordingly, ensuring legitimate rights for the people.

Representatives of the departments and leaders of Tan Hoa Commune People's Committee took turns answering and explaining specifically the issues under their authority.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Phan Hung Manh, Chairman of the Veterans Association of Dong Thap province, highly appreciated the frankness and responsibility of voters; at the same time, informed more about the outstanding results in socio -economic development of the province in the first 7 months of 2025.

Comrade Phan Hung Manh also shared the difficulties of the commune when operating the new apparatus. At the same time, he requested the local government to quickly resolve the legitimate issues of the people within its authority. As for recommendations beyond its authority, the Delegation will fully accept and promptly convey the opinions to relevant agencies, promptly resolve difficulties and contribute to improving the quality of life of the people and will respond to voters in the next meeting.
