On the evening of October 22, Miss Grand International 2024 entered the semi-final round (swimsuit performance, evening gown performance) with the participation of 71 contestants.

Susana Medina's performance was even more impressive when she wore a tight-fitting red evening gown designed by Le Ngoc Lam.
The Vietnamese designer said the idea for the semi-final dress for Susana Medina came from the mythical story of the rebirth of the phoenix in European culture. Through the design, the designer wanted to send wishes to the Spanish beauty to overcome the difficulties in the competition and the future.
The process of making the dress took dozens of hours, the most elaborate of which was the attachment of thousands of brilliant red gemstones arranged in layers like burning sparks. This arrangement created a visual effect, allowing the stage lights to reflect onto the dress, adding to the heat, sparkle and magic of Susana Medina's performance.

"The stones must be calculated to create soft lines, curving along the curves and movements of the wearer, like the red rays of a phoenix flame in the dark night," said the Vietnamese fashion house.
Sharing about the opportunity to collaborate with the Spanish beauty, Le Ngoc Lam said that he previously designed the final walk dress for Miss Grand International 2022 Isabella Menin. Thanks to those collaborations, he was followed by the Miss Grand Spain organization on Instagram and proactively ordered evening gowns before Miss Grand International 2024 began.
Receiving requests from Miss Grand Spain, Le Ngoc Lam created 10 sketches for the host country's team to choose the final 2 dresses for the Spanish representative to wear in the semi-final and final night.
When she put on this dress, Susana Medina said she was very satisfied. The crew barely needed to make any changes, just adding a few details to make the outfit stand out.
After the semi-finals, Susana Medina will continue to wear Le Ngoc Lam's dress for the finals taking place on October 25.
Susana Medina is 25 years old, 1.81m tall, and a former law student. At the contest, the beauty left an impression with her unique and attractive face and mysterious mixed-race beauty.
Susana Medina is fluent in English, German and French. She also learned Thai to compete in Miss Grand International 2024. At the competition, she was considered one of the strong candidates for the highest position.
