Details of Peugeot 408 Legend Edition special launch in Vietnam
The Peugeot 408 Legend Edition is a 215th anniversary edition distributed in limited quantities and has a more luxurious interior thanks to a new color scheme.

THACO Auto has officially announced the Peugeot 408 model celebrating the 215th anniversary of the French car company, called Legend Edition. There are three versions on sale like the regular 408, including Allure, Premium and GT, priced at 1.039 billion; 1.139 billion and 1.289 billion VND respectively. Compared to the regular Peugeot 408, the 215th anniversary edition increases by 20 million for the Allure and Premium versions, while the GT version increases by 30 million. According to THACO Auto, a total of 215 Peugeot 408 Legend Editions are on sale in Vietnam, coinciding with the 215th anniversary of the Peugeot brand's birth (1810 - 2025).
Each car has a numbered plate attached to the trunk door and a certificate of authenticity included when purchasing the car. Customers can also choose the serial number according to their preferences. The Peugeot 408 Legend Edition has an additional Selenium Grey paint color and a serial numbered plate on the rear of the car. In addition, there is not much difference from the standard version. The front of the car stands out with a vertical grille, the front bumper is highlighted with a vertical LED strip that resembles a lion's fangs. The highest-end version is equipped with matrix lens LED headlights, which can prevent dazzling oncoming drivers. The two lower versions of the Peugeot 408 Legend Edition in Vietnam use LED reflectors. The GT version is equipped with 20-inch wheels while the two lower versions will use 18-inch wheels.
Inside, the most noticeable difference is that the Peugeot 408 Legend Edition has leather seats in the main cowhide color, with the headrests embossed with the French brand's logo from the early days along with the number "215 Anniversary". In addition, the equipment and design remain the same. The GT version, the most special feature is the 10-inch central screen, along with another 5-inch touch screen below. Behind the steering wheel is a 10-inch screen that supports 3D display. The sound system is a 10-speaker Focal developed specifically for this model over 3 years. The Allure and Premium still have a pair of 10-inch screens, but the screen behind the steering wheel does not have 3D display and there is no 5-inch screen. The sound system is only the standard 6-speaker type.
This model uses a 1.6L turbocharged engine for 218 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. Peugeot 408 only uses front-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission in all 3 versions. In terms of safety technology , the regular Peugeot 408 in Vietnam has many modern features to support users. The car has lane keeping, active braking, traffic sign recognition... in all 3 versions. Other features such as blind spot warning, rear cross traffic warning, lane change assist, adaptive cruise control Stop & Go, front/rear sensors will appear in the two higher versions. The 360-degree camera is only available in the highest version (GT).
