This is the sharing of journalist Ho Quang Loi - former permanent vice president of the Vietnam Journalists Association , a famous political writer of the People's Army newspaper , at the launch of his 11th book on June 12.

Mr. Ho Quang Loi did not talk directly about his book Truth, Justice and the Pen (Hanoi Publishing House).

He talked about journalism, his senior colleagues, excellent journalists, and the challenges facing journalism in particular and society in general, in the era of media explosion...

The power of the press is given by the people.

Mr. Loi said that people consider the press to be the fourth power, after the legislative, executive, and judicial powers. That power is obtained because the people trust the press. Therefore, only when journalists do their jobs properly can the press truly have power.

One of the good manifestations of journalism is that the fighting spirit must be associated with the humanity of journalism. Journalism must be for people, must respect people.

"This is the time we must further promote the humanity of journalism. No matter how prosperous a society is, if it does not love people, it is not a society worth living in," said Mr. Ho Quang Loi.

In addition, journalists, with their professional ethics, political courage, and professional expertise, must be able to answer social questions, to correct and reform social awareness, and move towards the good.

Readers can find these things in the book Truth, Reason and the Pen by journalist Ho Quang Loi.

Our father used to be such a great journalist.

Mr. Loi also spent a lot of time talking about talented colleagues whom he loved, respected and learned a lot about both work and life attitude, people he respectfully included in his book.

In it, Mr. Loi especially tells the story of journalist Nguyen Khac Tiep who recently passed away at the age of 103, a character he chose to write an article about to close this thick book.

Mr. Loi said that in 1954, reporter Nguyen Khac Tiep recorded Uncle Ho's words to the soldiers at Hung Temple, on the way back to take over the capital: "The Hung Kings had the merit of building the country, you and I must work together to protect the country."

He was the one who, together with reporter Pham Phu Bang, built the People's Army newspaper office right at the Dien Bien Phu battlefield, publishing 33 issues right at the front, an unprecedented miracle in the history of journalism in Vietnam and the world.

"At that time, our ancestors did such great journalism," Mr. Loi expressed his admiration for the seniors who taught us how to do journalism and live a decent life.

Mr. Pham Quang Nghi - former Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, who invited Mr. Ho Quang Loi to the position of editor-in-chief of the Hanoi Moi newspaper , and then head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda Department, commented that journalist Ho Quang Loi is a leading political journalist.

His book Truth, Reason and Pen , along with 10 published books, prove that.
